If it is a choice between feeding the poor, recinding some of the recent cuts to inmates, health care for the needy and library hours, the library loses at this time.

Three cheers for Ms Newcomb! Now pray tell, how does she propose we solve this budget crisis? Let's see, Ms. Newcomb is a democrat. Could it be tax increases? Not for you of couse, and Lord knows not for me, how about for that fellow behind the tree?

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
