I find many white Cubanos and other white or fair skin Latinos to be very racist towards Afro Latinos. We are not accepted by the Latino community as being Latino. They see us as Negroes!

Afro Cubano, I share you pain! I am a black Puerto Rican living here in Washington, D.C. When I was a graduate student at Georgetown University and an employee there, most of the Puerto Ricans, Cubans, and other Latinos were white. Many were racist. There were one or two Puerto Ricans and Dominicans there at Georgetown from New York City, but they were mulattos. They were cool, but I had problems with the white Latinas. I was called a moyo in Spanish behind my back by these worms.
