Alexis: you are a legendary fighter and a hell of a real man. You are a man of great integrity and have earned the respect of everyone who was every lucky enough to meet you. Your great legacy will be forever honored. You will be sorely missed. RIP Alexis Arguello (4/19/1952-7/1/2009).

Alexis had a big punch, but an even bigger laugh! He's was always smiling and sharing the joys of life with others. He used to make the rounds back in the days here in Miami. He was a generous man with a heart of gold. I will always miss "El Flaco Explosivo".

Those were the days of real athletes! The worst enemy of boxing is crooked promoters, matchmakers and hang on thugs that have no knowledge of the sport. The sport is dead and has no real interest. No white fighters to build interest! The same thing is happening to football.
