There was no press release sent out about the hall induction and there aren't any soccer tournaments like the baseball summer leagues. Corrigan has the ideas and the answers, we need to vote him in so we can have those same answers. You've got to be kidding me. Apparently Jason has never traveled on the highway called Interstate 88. No press release? There is something here called a NEWSPAPER, Jason. It's something you READ that you can actually hold in your hand! Amazing! Last I checked, there were soccer leagues, too. Some people actually go WATCH them! Jason would know this if he actually went out in the community and PARTICIPATED!

Free Ice Cream, is that what gets you out to vote...wow, things are tougher than I thought. Mr. Mizuno, I hope you raise the bar for your children if you have any. Based on your comments you are scraping the bottom of the pond for inspiration sir. May God find a way into your soul, which is apparently dogshit.

This isn't a discussion group; it's a cheering section for Jason Corrigan. I believe wholeheartedly that, after this election, Jason will move on in his life and hopefully direct his passion toward things that matter in this world. I also think that someday he will look back and be thoroughly embarrassed by the actions of his friends.

I find it laughable that most of these posts are from people who don't even live in the oneonta area.

Anyway, I think for all we know people posting comments could have been Dick or Erik the whole time. What better way to make a 21 year old who obviously was mature and professional, look to be immature than using a medium he is naturally associated with because of his age. Jason didn't seem like an idiot, I don't know why he would have thought this stuff would have helped him.

I am proud of Jason and I think he did very well. He didn't need to win, I think the city got the message and Dick didn't blow Erik out of the water, which makes me think that Jason had an impact in discrediting Dick's campaign.
No one was going to vote for him because of his age, but they certainly listened to him and took what he said about Dick's contract seriously.
Dick is going into office with half of the people who voted against him. I hope he is able to "collaborate" with everyone who didn't want him as their mayor.

Anyways, you can tell the mentality and priorities of the regional population[good or bad-depending?]. NO cell towers,no turbines,no gas drilling,no wood power plant. BUT..BUT..BUT no problem to build a God AWFUL looking "Performing Arts theater" or spend six million[grants]for a building on main street. That same building could be torn down and rebuilt SIX times over and still would not cost as much. Oneonta will never be a Cooperstown. I think the problem in Oneonta/areas is way to many liberal thinking people who don't understand economics. To many government/health care employees and eco-nuts that want an "artistic","sav e the world"..Al Gore community.

I bet Dick or Erik were having a great time coming up with the idea to use the internet against Corrigan. Who the hell knows who is behind that site, but it must be Corrigan because he is a student?
That doesn't make sense.
There are a few guys with AIDS in Oneonta, should we assume they are gay and are drug addicts?
Someone find me something that pin points Corrigan to anything online and then talk.

Jason did a great thing for the community. You didn't have to vote for him to understand that his presence in the election made an impact on oneonta. And Erik really wouldn't have gotten the amount of votes that he recieved had it not been for Jason.
Everyone saw what Jason said, liked it, said he was too young, saw that Erik agreed on most things Jason said, and voted for the "older" guy.

John, I really have to disagree with your assessment that the residents of Oneonta are eco nuts, etc.
The tenor of this town is really a police state. The eco people you speak of are not here. I know I'm one and have lived here for a couple of years now.
And believe me brother, I used to be a corporate head chopper in NYC, so if I were looking over budgets, services, and performance, heads would roll up here in local government offices as well as other jobs both in and outside the 2 colleges.
On another note, it is interesting to see that folk here are still talking about Corrigan. I know this string started with him, but he has returned to being a student, so, enough with this guy already, let's start a new string and get the ideas back on the table.

I have to say that Corrigan is onto something and even though he is going to court, this might be the best way for him to really prove everything he was saying about Kim Muller and the city elite is right.
I don't have any doubt that Kim and this supposed girl are connected knowing the city I grew up in, and I am sure that Jason has the guts to keep pushing as he always has.
He stood up for the truth in the election, and I am sure that we will find out the truth in this case.
You're a good man Jason, good luck.

I met Corrigan many times while he was campaigning and I don't think he is the criminal type. He has too many good values that he carried with him during the election, and actually long before the election in his community service work.
I like the guy and his guts, I don't think he would have been the perfect mayor, but I do not see him as bothering anyone but the city elite.

Some girl wants attention from a politician!!! Like we don't always hear about that!
Some ex politician is mad because their plans were broadcasted on TV. Oh well Kim, shouldn't be a crook then.

Corruption in Oneonta
Oneonta, NY
|
Corrigan is going to have to face a judge who is appointed by Dick Miller??!! That doesn't seem fair at all. Even more so, Kim is Dick's good friend, so whoever is appointed, do you really think they aren't going to do Dick a favor and throw the book at Corrigan regardless of if he is innocent or not? This is horrible.

Jason had the charisma but needed more guidance as to know when to get charged up and when to relax. He was a whistle blower on a lot of the corruption that we all know about but don't really mention in public. He served this community very well and we are all proud of him here!
