Come on, everyone knows she's guilty as all get out. But 1.92 million for 24 songs, all which were undoubtedly horrible Top 40 drivel or cheesy 80s hair metal drivel? What's the RIAA smoking? Maybe they should share it with ol' Kim Jong Il so he'll chill out a bit and pull his finger off the big red button for awhile. Stay classy, RIAA morons.

Apparently Yeah Right and Bart failed to notice that the RIAA has been settling with people for $3-5,000. It was a jury that chose the almost $2 million fine, because this woman chose to fight rather than pay $3,000. They probably lost a lot more than $125 per track in illegal downloads. At what point did stealing become acceptable in this country? Or is it only a problem if someone steals from you?$2,000,000 is ridiculous, and this jury should have come up with a much different number, but she should have to pay something for breaking the law and stealing from the artists and recording industry.

I don't see the point of an appeal frankly. RIAA is never going to get 1 million out of this women. They know it and she knows it.

They'll probably offer to drop the rest of the award if she pays a token amount and if her lawyer is smart the lawyer will advise her to take it. That way she can go on with her life without having this hanging over her head anymore.
