CL & P Details Proposed Power Line Work

Replacing the lines between Bloomfield and Ludlow, Mass., would accommodate growing demand for power, control costs and improve reliability, CL&P spokesman Frank Poirot said.

Gee, thanks for the advance notice for East Granby & Enfield residents. By the way, town libraries got a huge box of documentation on this - for those who have time to read up on all the plans.

Seems like a reasonable deal to me--unless they want us to put windmills up on our roofs.

Existing rights of way are being used so what's the rub?

I went to the informational meeting that CL&P had at East Granby High School. It was extremely well put together and as a home owner with property abutting the existing transmission line it put my mind at ease. You were able to see how the new line would impact your house/street. Unfortunately depending on which side of the line you live, there will be people who are relieved or ticked off. Just call it progress that we all will benefit.
