How terribly-terribly sad.
An entire family gone ... in an instant. I am quite certain the Mom was thinking of the upcomming Thanksgiving holiday. The two young children were surely thinking of Christmas. Now Mom, Dad, and the two young children are gone. How terribly-terribly sad.

May their bodies rest in piece. May their remaining family think of all the good things they can remember about their loved one's and hold on to what you have left.
BECAUSE,( YES )> THINGS CAN AND DO CHANGE IN AN INSTANCE AND UNFORTUNITLEY ITS' OUT OF "OUR" HANDS
GODBLESS AND MAY YOU FIND "LIGHT" OR SOME KIND OF COMFORT THROUGH THIS HORRIFFIC ACCIDENT.

This is a really dangerous section of road. People need to be careful here. There is a lot of truck traffic. This is a tragedy. Hopes and Prayers for their families!

What does the other driver being a Canadian have to do with this? Would it have made it alright if he'd been American? Four people lost their lives show some respect!

To I hate Canadians. What the hell... There is nothing that that driver could have done... DO you live in the area... Obviously NOT because you would then know that people drive to fast for the s-turn and can get killed with the slightest mistake. I was in an accident in the exact same area and it was lucky that there wasn't anyone else coming. You are a damn fool! Grow up... And yes pray for the family...Ps I do believe that it was the minivan that crossed the yellow line... What would you have done if you were the truck driver~!

how awefull. its bad enough when there are just adults involved, but when you hear of small children it is heartwreching. My children are 4 and 5 and it is scary to hear this and know so innocent lives are taken that young in the blink of an eye. God bless this family.

Our prayers go out to the family. The traffic is still being re-routed in front of my house. When we got home at 5:00 and I saw a news truck on the scene I knew it had to be bad. I was heart-broken when I tuned in and found out what happened. This curve, plus the intersections to either side of that curve (where they are re-routing traffic), are really bad. 2-3 accidents a year. I've been woken up by the Mercy Flight copter coming in. Still, this is the worst that has happened...

Horrible, horrible thing.

You pal, are a sick puppy. To even think that it makes a difference where the driver of the truck was from, is beyond comprehension. How do you get to sleep at night?

RLH,
Your are to be credited for this comment to I hate Canadians. The man in the semi is a human being who in no way caused this accident but will go through an awful ordeal of survivor guilt and my heart goes out to him.
That being said this is every parents worst nighmare. Your children grow up, marry and give you the greatest gift in the world, grandchildren. Then in a flash they are gone. My mind cannot comprehend getting this kind of news. My heart aches for the man and woman's parents. If, and that is a big if, there can be a ray of light out of this tragedy it is that the young family went to the Lord together. My thought and prayers go out to the extended family who had this young family taken from them far too soon.

maybe that wasn't such a "short cut" after all for that trucker. Could've stayed on the interstate and avoided this kind of accident instead of avoiding tolls!

Look this is not the time to be making accusatory remarks towards the man who survived. He has every right to be on that road so lets stop the rude remarks now and make this a respectful blog. I drove many a mile on 63 in that area, the years I lived in WNY and many a tractor trailer travel it. This was an unfortunate accident and there is none above having the potential to be in an accident.

I just can't imagine the grief the family is going through.

Perhaps the only solice is that they are all together in a better place than this world.

My condolences to family and friends.

It is every professional driver's worst fear and nightmare...being involved in an accident that causes much pain and grief. The driver avoided as much as possible and swerved to avoid doing more damage. What if that driver(mother or father) were overtired and driving home? You ever think about what your actions will do and how they effect someone else's life? Secondly, any accident involving a truck subjects the truck driver(s) to drug and alcohol testing whether the truck driver is at fault or not. What if the parents were taking a sleep aid and residual effects occurred?

I Agree but you also have to look at the other side of the accident. You have a tractor and trailer guy that just accidently killed this family of 4. How do you think he feels, hes probably heart wrenched and an emotional wreck. I mean yes you have to feel bad for the family but also on the other hand the trucker was involved also.
