Yeah i was wondering the same thing. Did this guy actually inject the other guy? If not then it doesn't really make sense. Unless it is because he didn't call 911 and he drove the other guy to the hospital? They should really be more specific.

Yeah, maybe that's what happened...he might have not reported this like he should have or something.

I totally disagree with the charges that have been brought against this man! It is obvious that he is addicted to heroin. I beleive the addiction needs to be addressed rather than being charged as a criminal. Lets face it the drugs have made it in to the correctional facilities. No justice will be served by sending him to jail where the drugs are accessible. This will allow him to continue the same behaviors. Living with the death of his friend clean and sober will be punishment enough!

Again this should depend on what part he played in helping his friend. If he just sat there while he was dying then he needs a wake up call, jail would be just the ticket for that, but if he called the ambulance and helped get this guy help, then that should be considered also.

No way this man is not guilty, no one holds you down to do herroin and i doubt he injected his buddy, I mean look at New york all there is , is drugs and alcohol, hell what do you do when there is no jobs around all you do is sit around do drugs and alchohol, the biggest affenders of this is all the welfare.he should not go to jail , rehab all the way.he has to live with this guilt everyday of his life not us.

The man who died was NOT a heroin addict. His father had died maybe just 3 months prior and he was having a hard time dealing with it. He had health issues himself and his son is severly ill with a brain tumor. The man going to jail took advantage of a depressed man who was looking to let go of his grief if only for a short time. The man was arrested because he ADMITTED to injecting his "friend" with a deadly concoction knowing this was his first time with it. Instead of calling an ambulance for faster help, he chose to drive him to Hudson. Know the facts before you start ranting like Tina, talking about welfare. I don't give a rat's @$$ about his guilt or what he is feeling. He contributed to someone's death. This man left a wife and children and the man arrested helped.

Sad and sorry. Heroin is a much bigger problem than people understand right now. Please be aware, it's in the best schools and neighborhoods and the more hopeless the world seems the more likely people (of all ages) are to try self-med. relief. Stay strong, watch for signs and intervene.

Yeah, no matter what this drug was illegal, and if he injected this man with it, then he needs to have a time-out in jail.
