okay so our Cairo police go off duty like 10:00 o'clock so who do we call??? We have a Ghost town lets face it...and do someting about it.. and save the history.. Remember Huntleys go there for a ice cream or a vanilla egg cream or ice cream soda wasn't only a Pharmacy it was love..penny candy, we are a Quaint town lets bring it back...I bet each and every one of you forgot all our kids used to go the library to do arts and crafts with a special lady..Thats what Cairo is all about..

I hear the health department has quite the report about massmann's restaurant. Maybe that's where the sewer work is going.

They are corrupt. They vote against anything new that is not made by their friends. They try to drive everyone else away. It is sad.

I have lived in this town for 11 years and I have never seen it grow, I have heard all the promises from the Town Board Members and Main Street remains empty, those that try to run businesses on Main Street are forced out. This town is no longer quaint, it is filled with crime. I would like to know how so many homes, the Town Hall and the local Fire Department gets broken into when the Police Deapartment is located right in the Town Park. What will it take to get the Town Board to do there job? What is it going to take to bring this town back to what it once was? What will it take to keep our children here after they finish college? What does this Town have to offer to those that want to stay?

How many stores on Main Street closed in 2009? I count seven.
