You have not a clue of what you speak. Hexpol is doing just fine and there only plans to improve the facility. If you speak to those working there, you would find that the company is spending money to clean up the facility and improve the operations. Of course, not everyone is happy about the changes. Some folks would prefer to be stuck in the filth and nastiness that was the 80's and 90's. There are always going to be nay-sayers. Shannon only expects people to do what he has already done himself, improve theirselves and their surroundings. Replacing windows in the offices has been the latest facility upgrade and this is an area that was definitely overlooked during the days of Excel Polymers.

LMAO You must be shannon's butt buddy! That fat dumpy slob is running it in the ground! sales are way down compared to last year mostly because of him. He talks to employees & customers like crap. he runs his big mouth to try and make up for being a short fat fool! He is in way over his head here. Tim knew what he was doing & treated people like he wantd to be treated. Sales were good then.

Let me get this straight, you are impressed and consider the office windows being replaced as one of the higher priorities that have been overlooked in the past few decades?? Lets not worry about the carbon black that fills the plant everyday or the fact that its only 110 plus degrees in there, those are the priorities that should be at the top. Instead he blows money on fancy windows "cosmetic shit" because he isn't the one sweating his ass off on the floors walking around breathing in the chemicals. I understand that there is no way of making the factory cool to a point that would be comfortable but having 20 year old utility fans as the only air conditioning system is just ridiculous. I bet that Mr.Shannon has made damn sure that his office is never hot and if the air units mess up he's johnny on the spot having the shit fixed the same day!! I'm sure the actual workers of that factory are really impressed with those windows and would prefer a big 5k HEXPOL sign over the vending machines over a upgrade on the air or ventilation systems any day!!!

If Shannon Smith is such a great plant manager then please explain to everyone reading this why within his first 6 months there, two of their biggest clients pulled out because he demanded they be put on contracts. Those two companies have always been the backbone of that factory and the reason that it has made it this far. If you work at Hexpol then you see first hand the negative impact of loosing those two clients have had on that place and pretty soon everyone will realize just how screwed that plant is. It's a matter of time before the doors are shut and everyone including the ass kissers know it.

The windows were a needed replacement to save on utilities as they were the original units. Also never hurts to improve the impression a customer has when they visit the plant, who by the way are quite impressed the changes that have taken place since Hexpol's acquisition. But you are right, there is no way to effectively cool a plant the size of Hexpol and there is spot cooling for many of the operators in the plant. The condition of the plant is so much better than it has been in years past. Carbon black does not fill the plant everyday as you suggest. I can go into the plant, spend time on the mixers and the mills and still be reasonably clean when I walk out. That could never have happened in past years. There has been much work continuing to improve the work conditions versus the past but only so much can be done at a time. And as for lost customers, you are just plain wrong about the circumstances. Both tire customers pulled all the volume back internally as they had excess capacity within their own facilities. They did this all our competitors as well not just Hexpol. If you are so unhappy, I know a number of hard working folks who would love to have your job so why not do everyone a favor and go work somewhere else much better.

I am applying there now. They are opening up new lines and I hope I get hired on! They have great benefits such as insurance and a nice Christmas bonus. If I get hired on there I sure won't be worrying about trying to get Christmas this year! This company is growing so I look at it as a secure job that I can provide for my family with.

Not anymore. Half of it was sold years ago. It's to different companies.
