I bought from them a couple of years ago, they treated me really well. They also offer a thing where if you pay $500 for one month they credit you $600. My transmission started going out in my car after I purchased it, it wasn't damaged just wear and tear and it was a high mileage car. They took care of me and had it rebuilt at no cost to me, even gave me a car to drive while it was in the shop. I know of a couple of ppl that ran into issues with their vehicle after purchase and they took care of them too. No. 1 is somewhat higher on their vehicles but the used car business is a risky business and you get what you pay for. I know for a fact they will not accept junk as a trade in or knowingly buy something that is junk b/c they do everything they can to stand behind what they sell. I would definitely buy from them again.

I had my car almost 3 mos when the transmission started going out and they fixed it at no cost to me. Sounds like you might have done something to inflict the damage.

If you go through their finance system, where u pay them weekly or monthly, u BETTER make sure u get your payment up there AT LEAST 1 DAY EARLY, & do NOT let your payment date fall on a Sunday, Cuz If it does & u wait till Monsay To pay it,then when u wake up Monday morning your car will be GONE..They Come get stuff at Midnight..I Know of several people that this happened to..I personally woudnt buy anything from them.

Done business with them several years ago, and they are crooks, I bought a car from them and the engine was messing up, Barry told me I could have another engine from a car he had just drove the day before, I go to look at the engine, put a battery on the car, try and start it up and the thing catches on fire, it didn't even have a carb on the manifold, and had dust, spider webs etc in it,this thing hadn't ran in a while. Barry is a total crook and liar, stay away at all cost.

You can get an idea of their business by seeing how long they've been in business. To the best of my memory, they are probably the oldest car dealer (continuosly owned by the same family) in Dyersburg, new or used. Look at all the other used car places, they're in and out on a monthly basis. No 1 Used cars has been in business probably 40 years or more, Barry bought it from his Uncle many years ago and has owned and run it ever since. He had worked for his Uncle for many years, after getting out of the Army. BTW, he is a Vietnam veteran.

You don't stay in business in the same place as long as he has unless you have some pretty good business practices. Like most used car dealers he buys a lot of his cars from car auctions. It's hard to know exactly what you are getting when you buy from an auction but for the most part, he makes it right if something goes wrong.

NO....I don't work for him and I've NEVER bought a car from him. But I have had several other dealings with him and found him to be very honest and straightforward.

Dyersburg Resident, I agree with you 100%. I didn't deal with Barry, I dealt with Ms. Linda and Wendy. They were more than helpful and treated me wonderfully. I made all my payments on time and paid my car off within 6 mos. I am willing to bet the people on here posting negative things are people who didn't want to pay their bill or wanted to pay late. When I was looking to purchase again, I told Ms. Linda what I was looking for and instead of trying to talk me into buying something she told me that she didn't have it but was going to buy some more so if I didn't find what I was looking for somewhere to come back in a week or so.

They give a 3-month 3,000 mile warranty, which ever comes first is when it runs out. If something goes out on a car a year and a half after I buy it, I'm not going to the dealer and telling them they knew it was messed up now fix it! That would be insane. Be a smart buyer if you are going to buy something used, take it to your mechanic and have them check it out. Dealers nor mechanics can see the future, things wear out that is how it works.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Cancer

With Mars and Saturn working in harmony, you'll find the support you need through friends or associates. Someone pitches in to help which will let you take a concrete step towards achieving your goals. There could however be a cost in terms of your emotional and domestic life because of what you're doing. Has responsibility taken you away from those you're close to? Try to make things up in another way.
