coyotes? I live in Pinehurst, on October 11, my large yellow cat was missing. Also , we have a family of foxes in area for 2 years and all are missing. Why have we not heard of this coyote problem before. It is a big hush. I have called animal control and talked to several people, all tell me coyotes. What can we do to keep them away.

You can get some mountain lions to take care of the coyotes.

Coyotes! News to me. I've camped all over NC for many years and never heard of Coyotes being a problem.
The more wildlife the merrier as far as I am concerned.

I shot some video of coyotes that come to my pond at first light,I live near the little river in Orange County. They are very wary and have not bothered my goats or pets ,Ido not have cats,I will leave them alone as long as they cause no threat.

If a fire truck siren goes off at night, you can hear them howling. And its not your regular neighborhood dogs.

I just got a nice, clear photo of one behind my house in Raleigh, off Ebenezer Church Road. I bought the motion-triggered camera after seeing a coyote in my driveway last May. We've been hearing them a lot recently, and now I finally have a photo to show the neighbors who didn't believe me. <g>

I live in Weddington and my cat was just killed by a coyote. I ran outside when I heard the barks and the coyote ran in front of me. I got a good look under outside lights. Definitely coyote!

In 2006, I saw a coyote along I-40, between Newton Grove and Warsaw. It was too tall to be a fox.

Coyotes have been in this state at least 5 years, but they're still rare.

I have a little fishing cabin on Mayo Lake in Person County. Since there is so little noise, you can hear them howling at night. It is has gotten a little more noisy in the last year or so.

Saw a coyotee about twenty feet from my front door Saturday morning and heard the pack yowling SSaturday night and Sunday afternoon. I live in a suburban area that backs up to a 50 acre woods off Cole Mill Road about two miles from 15-501. I've also noticed the deer have been missing for about a month. Good news for the lillies.
