It is a great idea--until I got to the part about stores, banks and daycares lining the north and south sides of Pinon Hills. That is supposed to be a bypass. It is not supposed to turn into a slow lane like 20th street. Let them put all the daycare, restaurants, banks, offices OFF Pinon Hills Blvd. inside of their development. Let them put the backs of houses onto Pinon, or desert landscaping. Or let them contribute a parallel access road for their businesses.
Save Pinon Hills for the commuters!!

What a great idea there are homes for sale and vacant all over town. The job market has dried up just look at the help wanted section of this paper. Who do you think is gonna buy these homes? I suppose the city big wigs are going to get a big kickback on this and just raise our utility bills again to pay for it all. Save pinion hills from this pipe dream please.

What does the tax payer owe these people for, what do they mean, who do they think they are - the tax payer owes these people no money. Here we go, they overdevelop and there goes what's left of our property value !!! The homeless shelters are full and ECHO is running out of food for the hungry - and these developers are asking for a handout - NO NO NO

From todays Albq Journal, "Bill Richardson says taxes in NM will be increased next year."
This should spur the economy and draw people in to purchase these new "affordable" homes.

Is there a reason that the name of the owners of La Plata Holdings LLC has not yet appeared? Is there any personal benefit to be gained at the expense of the taxpayers? Is there a personal reason that this has been proposed?

I am curious so let us know if you have any solid answers.

It is about time that Farmington join the rest of the modern world and supply affordable housing. Plus the small business that cater to the building industry are dying around here.

I'm all for what they said years ago (IT WILL BE ONLY A BYE PASS.)They took Jerry to court years ago as he was going to put in a Drive way to the street. Now they have open a big can of worms. It looks like now any one can do it.How about roads up the sides to the stop lights. Or are they going to put in a new Bye pass to the north???

I think the key words here are "home development" not stores, banks or daycares. Why not just redevelop downtown for that.
