My boyfriend and I drove by that night when he was taking me home, and of course him being a firefighter slowed down to about 10 mph and I saw Barney's body and I started to cry I have never felt my stomach twist like that it was a horrible feeling. I preyed for the family of Barney so that god could help them through this hard time and I hoped it worked. My Boyfriend was on a fire call the same time as that call came in and ironically he was on a two vehicle accident call also. There has been 6 accidents involving vehicles so everyone who reads this please be careful. And I my thoughts and prayers goes out to Barney's family.

Given the time of day, could it be that Mr. Barney was blinded by the setting sun and veered into the parked truck? So sad....my prayers go out to the Barney family.

The setting sun would not have been an issue as there is a big hill to the west of this area. i drove by this accident as well and that little pickup truck was so torn up he had to have been doing well over the posted speed limit. the only way i knew that it was a pickup truck is i saw the tail gate. the rest of the vehicle was just a pile of scrap. i can't believe how some people around here don't pay attention. 75% of the people in farmington are eaither drunk or in to big of a dam hurry to watch what they are doing. i fear for my life and carry way more insurance than is needed just because of how people drive around here.

I will set it staight, it was 7:05 pm and was already dark as he hit me from behind. I was traveling south at 45 mph. posted speed limit. He skidded approx. 150 feet before rearending us at 75-80 mph. We pulled over and he fled away. We called 911 and followed him about 1 mile before he hit the parked semi at 80 mph. I got out and checked for vital signs and had no pulse. After i checked court records i found he has had atleast 5 prior dwi's and 6 felony drug charges. U can thank our judicial system for allowing him to continue this life style.

There are two side to my brother's life, Yes, just like the rest of us we all have done things that we are not proud of. My brother was the most giving and caring person that I have ever know! I wish we would have kept you here with us, but we will live with that.. I am thankful that no one else was injured. Please everyone LEARN from this and seek knowledge and get your loved ones help, before it's too late. Don't pass judgment ... Those with no sin can case the first stone ... I love you Lynn with all my heart. Rest in peace brother.

Again to clear things up..... There were injuries... My wife and I are under Dr. care for our injuries received from this accident.. there also 2 children in our vehicle one of which was injured as well. If the judical system won't get these people of the streets and his "friends" and family won't get them help this kind of behavior will continue...
