My heart goes out to the familys that were involved in this unfortunate accident. And now when something this bad had happened i cant believe ppl in here have nothing to do but argue about the war. This was not war related. I did not no the victim, but i do believe i no who the accused, was, and since names havent been named, i will not reveal him. I was shocked when i heard about this. The man who stabbed him must have heard a good reason for doing what he did. There is a story that a heard from one of my friends that was also a friend of his and he told me what happened. It was just a total accident. Im sure he didnt mean to kill him him. Mayb hurt him but not kill him.
So WHAT did happen?

There is NEVER a good reason to kill ANYONE! Anthony Cruse (yes... I will reveal his name), I heard was drunk. I'm sorry, but he had better not use that as a reason to say that he is not at all guilty for what he did. Tim was such a good hearted man, and he had so much potential. Cruse took that all away from us. Tim did not do anything within that situation to deserve to be killed! He was only standing up for the friends that he cared so much about. I loved him. I'll miss him. And I hope Cruse gets every bit of punishment he deserves, whether he was drunk or not.
some one colse to tim

It's sort of like having a daughter you love tremendously but she's getting married to a bum. You love your daughter and will do everything you can for her, but you don't agree with her decision. Why aren't people making a big deal about us being in Afghanistan? Because we all know we should be there. People are making a big deal out of Iraq because we have no business being there. We support the soldiers in both of those countries equally. It's not the fault of the soldiers currently in Iraq, it's the fault of possibly the worst administration in US history. If you can't understand how you can support the soldiers but not the cause, you're not too bright. Hope I helped you better understand. Appropriate name for you by the way.
This is NOT the place to be arguing about the war! These two soldiers were not in combat when this happened! It was on base... where Tim should have been safe!

Stop arguing about who's right and who isn't... whether the war is just or not... and stay on subject for goodness sake. Tim deserves respect, not some argument about the war he was fighting for.

Awful event but five troops died in Iraq!? How could you compare! This is not politics, this had nothing to do with a war. The kid that killed Tim was only in a few months he didn't even go to war! Tim was my best friend. He was the one person that made my life whole. I have a hole in my heart and all you can do is bring up the war! What is going on in your head. If your friend was murdered would you want that mentioned. Have a heart people.

Been reading the Nurenburg transcripts from 1947 then? Ve vuz only following orders. Didn't work then, and for THINKING people now, it does not work today either. The good burghers of Dachau could complain that they did not know what was going on across the big wall by their town, but Americans with internet cannot claim ignorance of renditions, torture, massive killing of civilians and other similar 'shock and awe'.

When you get a little smarter, duh will be a good name for you too.

What the hell does Nazi Germany and the concentration camps have to do with my post? You really are a douche bag. My post had nothing to do with"just following orders". Try again.

Tough shit. This is a forum to discuss such things. Who the hell died and appointed your skank asss as moderator.
I'm his sister, for goodness sake! I think I deserve some authority on the matter of this thread discussing my dead brother! I don't appreciate that you're not showing respect for the dead... and offending me and others within this thread.

Actually, Kissinger never said this. Alexander Haig did. Haig was saying what "he" thought Kissinger believed. The link below also covers Bob Woodward's 1976 book which is normally credited for the quote.

Yes, I've offended others on this thread. I haven't disrespected the dead however. I'm really sorry about your brother. I just don't agree with why are in Iraq.
I understand you don't agree, and I'm ok with that. I just don't like you talking about it here because it has nothing to do with the subject of the thread... and it's frustrating others as well.

i agree that this thread should be kept about the subject at hand. The War had nothing to do with this. Supporting our troops had nothing to do with this. This was one young man murdered by another Drunk young man who was looking for a fight all night long. He is going to jail for life, and good riddance.. I have no sympathy for him or his family. You can't blame this on alchohol, i know plenty of people who have gotten plenty drunk but they've never stabbed anyone.

I can never say how much sorrow i feel for the crislip family. Your son gave his life protecting mine. He ws trying to be a peace maker and tell the other boys to go home. I will be glad when the trial is over so I can go into more detail on the subject. God bless you and your son. I would like to be able to talk to you in private. I just cant seem to come up with the right thing to say.

Does it matter what the race is? It shouldn't. He could have been white, black, hispanic, asian, etc. He was drunk. He did something horrid. He did something that no one should even consider doing if they had any kind of moral base. This is what happens when morality is blurred in our society.

The process is moving along, but it will take a while to get all the ducks in a row for the court martial. So long as it is after September. Timmy's twin is getting married that month.

I can tell you race was not an isue in this case although at the palimanary hearing they tried to make it out to be. How stupid is that. My son is in torment over all of this. He calls me asking me how do i make these night meres go away. He calls me and asks me "momma can you please pray for me?" He and tim use to play music together and now the music is gone for him. I know that God is still in control and he will overcome this some day. It"s just that its so unnessesary that this happened and so many people have been affected by it, There is not a day go by that i dont paray for everyone involved to give them peace and comfort and know that tim is in heaven listening to the most beautiful music ever heard and he is being saranated (spelling?) by angels.

I went to school with Anthony's mother and father.

I can tell you, this has been building for years! Very disturbed family indeed! Anthony's mother, Rhonda, has done nothing but jump from bed to bed with every man around! His dad, James, is in prison himself for drugs and stealing I believe. Alcohol and drugs have surrounded this boy all his life and his family has always overlooked his attitude and criminal behaviors. When you have this kind of poor parenting, stupid things happen! I sure feel sorry for the victim and his family.
