Must more factual information needs to reach the public! Thank you so much for your coverage of the Public Meeting. We need to organize to unite with others like in Sacramento as well, to facilitate a good source of activist information. one site is: www.sencal.org - a very good site. another site is: www.stoptanc.com
Please be informed.

One wonders why in the State of California our money (tax dollars) instead isn't going toward developing greener energy sources, such as building solar energy and wind farms out in the desert east of LA and San Diego where running power lines creates much less impact on the environment and residents.

I think more info is needed from both sides. The state is in need of more lines but what other routes may be available with less impact to people. You have to have distribution unless, of course, you do not use electricity. That is impossible even if you live off grid because EVERTHING you purchase is created by using electricity one way or the other. It's just a fact of life.

There are many many alternative forms of energy BUT you still need a way to distribute this power. Back to square one here...

When your goverment opposes nuclear energy, thus desires new green energy, it is putting the cart before the horse. Remember just recently, the pulposion to using corn as a alternative energy, where did that lead?

The lack of TANC not informing those that are squarely targeted...as of yesterday, 18th, 3 more families just learned that their homes are swathed in TANC's path, they have never been notified. The deadling date as of this moment is May 31st to meet the scoping/comment period.

So we purchase our property, build our homes, pay our taxes, productive citizens of our Country, law abiding people, and we must pay the sacrifice, for the sake of the greater good? In this day and age, with all modern thinking, this is presented under the radar, hoping to prevent from opposistion! Can't please all of the people all of the time, but you can do business the fair and ethical way! Dirty politics and greed is the situation here! Do your home work, read the www.tanc.us and pretend it is your lifes building for retirement days, and see how you would feel if
it were you? I bet that still will not impact you, or you would fill like the sacrificial lamb like we do...it is 6800 property owners being in this predicament.

I attended this meeting but could not hear all the speakers' names which you have clarified; thank you so much for such an in-depth accurate account of the meeting. Also, for submitting news to both Red Bluff and Pasadena. Your information adds to our help in opposition to the project.
