Thank you we appreciate your kind words... On the record, I wasn't seeing Martin while I was with Nicho... I think everything happened for a reason. Martin and I are happy and it was worth every tear to get to this point. I couldnt ask for a better man. Much love and respect to you always....

Always quick to judge the woman... you dont know her life... leave her alone... I see her really trying to raise her young family and she cares... you would be lucky to have her as a friend... i know her from afar and really respect how she has dealt with the hand given to her... He really has no clue what a good person he has lost..

You must know who I am, where I come from, and what i've been through... No lie, it has been a hard long road... I wont give up and i'll keep trying to make the best of it all. If you look at it all, I am winning... I have a awesome brats, a good man, a steady job, and a roof over our heads. So I don't thinkg were doing that bad... People just can't stand the fact that i'm an exception to the rule. I'm not a single mom thats partying all the time and not caring about her kids. I'm a hard working mom that gots her priorities straight. I take care of our home, work, and then there's time to play. Thanks for recognizing the good in us... Much love and respect...

For the first time that regular attendees at City Council meetings can remember ... VICTOR LOPEZ loses on a 4 to 1 vote on an Agenda item.

The owners of the Three Musketeers Bar on Park Ave. requested that the Council approve three dates in November and December for DANCING at the Three Musketeers. Not an unfair request as ALL BUSINESSES throughout the Central Valley are doing everything they can to stay in business!!

The always predictable VICTOR LOPEZ shifted into his first gear RANTING mode and spoke vehemently against allowing this activity. As usual VICTOR did not limit his remarks to one statement, he continued yelling the same information over and over.

He is unable to relate the current environment in Orange Cove, as opposed to "the way it was" back in the early 1980's. Even Victor Lopez should be able to realize that the town, the residents, and many aspects of the community have changed in 25+ years.
The discussion included the reduction in sales tax revenue (Alan Bengyel reported that sales tax revenue was down 25% in the second quarter of this year), business retention in the community, and the possible loss of jobs. Some people object to drinking and dancing. Other folks appear to be fixated on the events of the early '80's.

The Three Musketeers is a legal, licensed, and controlled (ABC) business. They follow the laws, rules and guidelines, and provide a product and service to the community.

After the Council listened to VICTOR and many members of the community speak in favor of, and against, this business request, the Council proceeded with the motion to approve, and then the "roll call vote" (requested by Lopez)...

... the VOTE was 4 to 1 to approve the dates for the Musketeers to have three dances - one of which will be New Years Eve.

Congratulations to the City and Council and City Staff for a courageous decision with an eye toward maintaining a friendly business climate in Orange Cove.

This Past Wednesday 11/11/09 Two Cars Were Set AFIRE At The Same Time South Of Manning Ave Before The Canal,On Monson Ave.Its Time To Have More Patrols To Avoid This TRAGEDY, Which Is An Often Ongoing Happening, Several Orange Trees Were Also Destroyed.Can You Believe They Were So BLATENT AS TO SET FIRE TO TWO CARS AT THE SAME TIME In The Same Orange Grove;;{FOR WHAT} A Car Was Set Afire Just Recently Burning Half Of Smith Mountain;Is ORANGE COVE & Surrounding Areas NOW CONSIDERED A COMBAT ZONE???
