The one way to guarantee failure of the UC system is to allow the Legislature take over it's management from the Board of Regents. The California Legislature can't even manage itself, much less anything else. It is the epitomy of total failure. Our decent, as a State, into financial failure and bankruptcy is but one example of the many failures of our Legislature. How can a group who continually grants excessive salaries and benefits to unionized State employees possibly criticize the salaries of the managers of the complex UC system? The ideas of Romero and Yee are totally absurd. The only possible reason for doing this would be for the Legislature to get it's hands on the resources of the University system.
