If you're appetite has soared after visiting some of the world's finest wineries in Sonoma, rush to Cape Fear in Duncan's Mills - just west of Guerneville. This Russian River establishment has been serving super portions of some of the best southern influenced food on the planet for years. The corn meal fried oysters are out of this world. The shrimp and grits appetizer serves 4! Casual atmosphere, but formal attention by the staff. You can not go wrong here. Good wine selection, too. Resrevations recommended!

From the peaceful & tranquil location in the small town of Duncans Mills to the ambiance & warm atmosphere created inside the restaurant, you will not be disappointed!
The bread brought out upon arrival was delicious and full of flavor. It had a great combination of spices and was served alongside what I believe was a sort of ratatouille which was very delicious and tantalizing.
We ordered the North Carolina Shrimp Grits appetizer to start with, which had the most amazing sauce that either of us have ever tasted, and is the best dish either of us have ever eaten in our entire lives! My taste buds were tingling! This is seriously an award winning dish that would please the most discerning critic! They brought out an amazigly scrumptous spring salad topped with a very engaging bleu cheese crumble, crans, and a very rich and satisfying house dressing. Absolutely stunning.
For the entree I ordered the House Smoked Salmon & Ricotta Tortellini, without the Salmon (I'm not a big fish person for the most part, although I'm sure their salmon would be impeccable) and it was superb! The menu states the sauce as spinach & grilled red pepper in romano cream but I'd just call it blissfully & insanely perfect! Most restaurants serve sauces that are too thin, but their sauce had the perfect consistency and the flavors combined to create a most amazing treat for the tastebuds! So rich!
My husband ordered the Mahogany Chicken and was blown away! The chicken came with a side of carrots, broccoli & potatoes, all of which were amazing little delicacies on their own, and when combined were unsurpassable!
We had a chocolate torte, topped with whip cream which I believe may have been home-made, which made my mouth water! The portions were perfect!
This restaurant deserves to be on the cover of every newspapers dining sections! Amazing chef, amazing staff, a real gem!
This is the BEST dining experience we've ever had, the best food we've ever eaten, and my husband is a chef!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Scorpio

A loved one is very assertive under the Full Moon tonight. You'll only make it worse if you come down like a ton of bricks, given that Mars is retrograde and it's a lunar eclipse tonight. Besides, do you really want to spoil this evening's celebrations because you've had a flaming row? If possible, live and let live, so you can have a really happy New Year!
