This is not surprising to me! There are alot of Teachers we intrust Our Children and Grandchildren to daily. They have no business being allowed in the class room. Our oldest Grandson attended and Our oldest Grand-Daughter is attending Mark twain Elementary. I have seen some of the the behavior of those so called adults.(The Principal there is a real winner also, with her clothing choice.) I am truely amazed of the Education Professionals we allow to collect money. Some are not qualified, drinking, drugs and unprofessional behavior.

Come on people. What does it take to dismiss a teacher. She already has felony charges. What is wrong with you people? What if your children had been in that parking lot? Would it be a different story? She was so drunk she didn't know who she was trying to run down. Throw her in the slammer so she can dry out and throw away the key!!

So, how does one get a DUI at school? YOU CAN'T DRIVE INSIDE THE SCHOOL. If she had gotten it on the way to school would that change this person's comment? If you do anything off school grounds should that not affect your job? Beat your spouse? Child? Drive Drunk? Murder? Where does it stop? No wonder southwestern Oklahoma has the image of "dumb Okies". This is Ms. Boyer's 3rd arrest for DUI. How many people does she need to kill or injure before action is taken? Still employed by the Duncan school district? Can I get a job there? I only drink at home also. I have a HS diploma, is that all it takes to get hired there? THESE ARE OUR CHILDREN! And you, citizens of Duncan, should be ashamed of yourself for entrusting them to this confirmed drunken fraud. Makes me wonder about the 1st comment from concerned grandparent about the principal. Sandy Garrett? We need an audit please.

This person is controlled by alcohol, and therefore dangerous. She needs to be in an inpatient detoxification and treatment program, not out on the street. I'm curious why she is still driving, with her prior DUII and hit and run convictions. I hope the judge will require her to strate at least a year of sobriety, and a breathalyzer/ignition interlock in every vehicle she operates before allowing her driving privileges again.

WOW wrote: I AM A TEACHER IN OKC AND AM NOT SELF RIGHTOUS BUT, I SAY THREE STRIKES AND YOUR OUT!!!! Three? I say TWO....everyone is entitled to mess up once more than that you are history! There are A LOT of teachers in Stephens County that need to be gone but before that will come to pass a higher up on the board needs to step down so we can get someone that really cares about our kids and the education they receive.

The teacher made a mistake just like I am sure alot of people do. I don't feel that it is our right to judge her a as person when I am sure everyone of you have done something in your past. Get her some help, and if she is a good teacher.....judge her for that. She didn't go to school drunk teaching! I don't feel kids should look up to their teachers. Kids should look up to their parents and God! That is what is wrong now kids looking up to the wrong people as role models. I feel the community should pray for her and wrap their arms around her......That is what God would have us do.........Don't judge unless you want to be judged!

Yes you are right Concerned Grandparent! Part of the problem is it starts from the School Board down. Most of people are friends and family that protect each other all the way down. Blame it on the schools too! Teachers are not "role models" they use to be when I was growing up. That is why we see more parents homeschooling because they don't trust the schools either!

Well gee whiz...why on earth would this 'teacher' even WANT to stop this type of behavior? She apparently thinks she's now above the law due to only receiving a 'slap on the wrists' for her prior DUI convictions, not to mention her being able to KEEP her teaching job as a felon!! She won't 'learn' ANYTHING until she loses it ALL...aka her job, freedom, car, etc. If you do the crime, you should do the time!!!!

Your spelling, punctuation, and use of proper words is horrendous. It's righteous, not rightous. Self-righteous is also hyphenated! In a compound sentence the comma is placed BEFORE the conjunction, and you should have used you're (which is the contraction for you are) instead of your (which shows possession). I won't even go into how to punctuate a sentence of dialogue (where you make the three strikes comment).(Yes, I do know how to properly punctuate sentences of dialogue. Contact me if you want a private lesson.) No wonder education is in such a sorry state if our teachers don't know basic grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling rules. I don't mean for this post to come off as a "Grammar Police" rant. As a former teacher myself, I really wish teachers would stop embarrassing the profession (whether it's through their lack of education or decorum).
