Partly what you say is correct...Nitro has a change coming! It probably won't be what's best for Nitro, but a change nonetheless. The people spoke..correct. they said they didn't want Jim McKay, but since the mayor has promises to uphold, he'll just oust a good honest employee and give McKay a city job anyway. He didn't get any money you say..well, maybe.... maybe not...but was he offered it? Casebolt supposingly admitted that to the news. Does that make it true...uh, dunno. As for being fired years ago - your comment is baseless.

When Chief Jordan took over the police department was ill equipped and had vehicles that spent more time on the back of a tow truck than running calls.

Under Chief Jordan the department and the officers are now fully equipped with state of the art equipment and vehicles. It is now a professional department where the officers are paid a fair wage for the job they do.

This was not the case when he took the job.

Chiefs come and they go. But I will lay money on the fact the next chief will not do for the city what Chief Jordan did.
