Judged: 4 3 3 See this type of reply is not helpful to anyone, not even the overfed heifers in WV. Tonight for example i dined on Lemon Pepper Blackened Grouper,Wild Grass Thai salad and a glass of white wine. Our chef prepared the most wonderful chocolate and fresh strawberry souffle. Total caloric intake approximately 750. TaTa for now Lady of Quality |

Judged: 4 Congratulations. You've solved the problem by complaining about it on Topix, the trailer park of the internet. I bet you're one of those brilliant people who ended child abuse by using your favorite cartoon character as your Facebook default picture. I can sleep easy now, knowing you're out there, pacing around, worrying about fat people for all of us. It's only a matter of time before they take over. Dipshit. |

Judged: 4 4 3 You "dined on?" You have no credibility. Fortunately, I can cook that shit in my not-so-big kitchen, but other people can't always afford to have some culinary commando suck their toes while pouring white wine down their sun-spotted chests, like yourself. You obviously have so much class, hanging out on Topix.... |

I like how obesity was a problem 100 years ago, oh wait.
|
|
|
In the late 80's, there were at least half as many obese people (Body mass index greater than 30) in the US. Watch, this chart of state obesity %'s from 1985 - 2009.
http://youtu.be/u1abjGnlfPM It should have compared to a heat map displaying all fast food restaurants. http://www.fastfoodmaps.com/ 50,000+ grease pits show up on the US map, and that's just the major chains (there are more like 150,000). With at least twice as many grease pit chain restaurants as there were 25 yrs ago, no wonder there are twice as many obese people. Fast 'food' food quality should also be of a higher standard if it's going to be allowed to be sold. Go watch some you tube about mechanically separated chicken and then dig into those nuggets or chicken whatevers. They claim this isn't used anymore after the videos surfaced, but who's seen inside their processing plants and who's really checking and how often? Too many questions and too disgusting for me to just eat and forget about. http://youtu.be/T67DvoH2H3E Bon appetite! Enjoy your ground up tendons and fat, which has been artificially colored and artificially flavored for your dining pleasure! PUKE |

Obesity has been directly linked to proximity from fast food restaurants from your home. LOL
http://www.nber.org/papers/w14721.pdf... But I'm not saying that a relationship with Little Debbie is a good thing either. Fast food isn't the only issue. Look at the grocery store - there are conveniently snack cakes, cookies, chips, pies, cakes, candies, etc. strategically placed at the end of all the aisles and surrounding the cash registers. They make it hard on the weak minded to not give in, especially when the restaurants/supermarkets push gluten filled garbage at everyone from every exit on every interstate in most states. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Percent of adults age 20 years and over who are obese: 33.9%(2007-2008) Percent of adults age 20 years and over who are overweight (and not obese): 34.4%(2007-2008) And based upon the historical data, it is climbing rapidly, so these percentages are likely much lower than they are now in 2012. Add those two together and you get 68.3% of the population is at least overweight (obese = BMI 30+). So, 68.3% of America is overweight, while only 8.6% of the population experiences thyroid problems. I'm not seeing the link here. A very minute amount of the obese people you see may have a medical condition. And the medical condition is most likely attributed to previous obesity and lifestyle decisions related to living healthy. I do see a link between gluttony and couch potato-ism relating to obesity. Don't get me wrong though, I don't have a problem with fat people, and don't think they are disgusting. A lot of people who were 'fat' and lost weight are FAR from disgusting. Some of the smartest people around are probably fat too, and likely have a lot of self respect considering they are able to get up and be in public just knowing what hateful idiots like the ones above are saying. |
