On Nov. 10th parents of special needs children will have the opportunity to learn more about how they can provide essential support to help foster the development of their kids.
At a 10:30 a.m. workshop called "Simple Ways to Address Challenging Behaviors," parents will learn how to identify antecedents of children's bahavior, how to enforce rules and expectations and how to provide clear, concise information to their kids. The workshop is sponsored in partnership between Practice in Motion Training Institute and the Flatshoals Branch of the DeKalb County Public Library.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Flatshoals library branch, located at 4022 Flat Shoals Pkwy. in Decatur. Reservations are strongly suggested due to limited seating.
Two more general workshops will be held at the Roswell Regional Library (115 Norcross Street), on Saturday November 10, and Saturday November 17, between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. on both dates. These workshops will focus on teaching parents effective strategies for creating school success.
