California Ecofascists Target Television Sets

At what point will we rise up and defend ourselves from the arrogant encroachments of totalitarian ecofascists?

Maybe when they come after our TVs:

The influential lobby group Consumer Electronics Assn. is fighting what appears to be a losing battle to dissuade California regulators from passing the nation's first ban on energy-hungry big-screen televisions.

On Tuesday, executives and consultants for the Arlington, Va., trade group asked members of the California Energy Commission to instead let consumers use their wallets to decide whether they want to buy the most energy-saving new models of liquid-crystal display and plasma high-definition TVs.

"Voluntary efforts are succeeding without regulations," said Doug Johnson, the association's senior director for technology policy. Too much government interference could hamstring industry innovation and prove expensive to manufacturers and consumers, he warned.

But those pleas didn't appear to elicit much support from commissioners at a public hearing on the proposed rules that would set maximum energy-consumption standards for televisions to be phased in over two years beginning in January 2011.

As always, petty tyrants from the government quack that this latest barrage of onerous regulations will actually save us money and even create new jobs — in addition to improving the weather and rescuing the polar bears.

Appliance manufacturers need to learn their lesson and donate more generously to the Democrat Party, lest they be forbidden from making anything at all.

The cold weather and the early snow proves that the 100 million dollars of 'carbon tax' that we sent to Al Gores private carbon credit company did the job and Al Gore was able to cool the earth and cure the earth problem of global warming. Good Job!!! Al Gore you definitely did it big time for the people of New York and north eastern US that demanded early starting and long lasting very cold winter.
Now let me ask you Al gore: If we send you another 100 millions dollars can you turn the weather back to the previous 'global warming' that you were able to change to global cooling?

Actually, let's face it. It's Obama and other government officials using publically financed jets to use as their personal vehicles.

How many planes does it take to fly to copenhagen?

How many planes for Michelle and her kids summer european vacation?

How many planes for date night in NY?

How many planes and trips per week for Pelosi, Waxman,Boxer,Feinstein to fly to CA? How many SUVs to cart them around?

How many planes for Congressional members of BOTH parties to have "fact-finding"-code word for VACATIONS trips? Snorkeling off the Australian reefs, visiting Antarctica?

What putzs American people are. Vote them OUT. They are abusers.

Yeah. Life does better in warm weather than it does cold weather.

If this is global warming think of how much it's going to snow after Obama and the idiot Democrats in Congress enact a massive energy tax on the American people that according to them will really cool the planet.

A shame so many scientist spent their time studying the climate and the various changes. All they need to do was to ask the very educated people of DuBois what is really going on. Think, they wasted all that time studying to achieve their degrees when all they had to do was look around here and ask some locals.
You need people need to get out and see some of the world our at the very least mingle with some people that have. The Pacific ocean has a garbage dump the size of Texas, Trees in Colorado are being decimated by a bugs that normally are held at bay by winter and now can survive through winter. Man made or not we have an effect on the environment.
