My husband and I live in Austin, Tx. We drove to Los Angeles for the holidays. We were on I-8 passing El Paso and going through New Mexico on the 24th of December. We both noticed hovering over a mountain range, an extremely large object, very high up. For the next several hours, we were able to observe it, which told me that it had to be moving. We were traveling at 80 mph, pretty much the entire time. Again, I stress that the object was extremely large, and we had a very long conversation about lift, thrust, propulsion systems, etc. and how they could relate to this very large object.

My husband is the Control Systems Manager at The University of Texas in Austin Power Plant, with a PE in mechanical engineering. I have an electrical engr. degree.

Nether of us have seen anything like this before

CIndi, I like to keep an open mind about life in general. Your post seems to indicate that you are not closed minded to different possible explanations about what you two observed. I think it could be U.S. Gov. related. I also think it could be something totally different. I believe in God and I believe that this planet is not the only possible location with so called intelligent life. God may have very well created intelligent life on a thousand different planets. You observed something. Thanks for your honest post.

It is sad that you feel you need to disrespect a seemingly honest observation of something unusual that was posted on here, by suggesting crack was in use. Maybe crack IS always connected to unusual things that you see and are involved in, but keep in mind that is not true for the rest of the people that post honest sights and occurrences they may experience.

I saw three hovering bright orb looking UFO's last friday night,Nov. 2008 in Keller TX. These lights would travel thru the air, and as they moved a tail of light, like a comet, would trail behind them. All of the sudden two disappeared, so I thought it must have been a comet or something. But the third one would started hovering and then it would disappear and reappear five different times. It seemed that as a airplane would fly past it is when it would disappear. It was so awesome. I think my wife and I saw UFO's for over 5 minutes!

I saw the same exact thing and came onto the message boards to see if anyone else had seen them too, i dont feel crazy now. Three friends and I were on our way to lewisville from Justin and as we passed by the Texas Motor Speedway we saw the three lights in the sky, two of them began to fall with a fiery trail behind them just like you said while the third stood still. The two that fell were almost parallel but after a few moments in what seemed like a free fall they split and went in opposite directions. To be honest it wasnt the first time I saw the cluster of lights, the first time though they didnt go into a free fall, but instead stood still hovering in the air. I was very curious about them and thought they really were UFOs but i just told myself they were helicopters. After seeing them the second time though i believe my initial thought may have been correct.

I saw those lights too! I called the police station and was told a lot of people were calling to report this phenomena...the lady at the police station said that the lights were a show being put on by the local high school (she wasn't sure but that's what she was told) she said the lights were that of some skydivers doing a fireworks show for Keller High School...or something like that....but I don't think it was a show and certainly not skydivers...the lights moved in very unexplainable ways...they moved in ways airplanes wouldn't. They also looked like they had a tail of fire...or white light...but they did have a tail of light. I saw these strange lights in Keller...North of Rufe Snow.
I had never seen anything like it, my heart raced. I had to people with me that are my witnessess.

Cindi - interesting, no coincidence. NM is the home of Los Alamos and Sandia National Labs, White Sands Missle Range, Very Large Array, Trinity Site, Monzano Base - major nuclear weapons storage site, Roswell, WIPP Site, several military installations ...

I just saw 3 balls of light in the sky over Keller Texas about 15 minutes ago on 11/6/2009. They would just hover there and what little they did move they would leave a trail of light behind. Then they would fade out and then come back. There were also several planes circling the lights. I counted 8 planes and the lights were a lot bigger and brighter then any of the planes. We called the police and they said nothing was going on in the area and that they would put out a broadcast. Did anyone else see these lights?I called my neighbors and they rushed outside and they saw them to.

I have never believed in UFOs, strange lights, or anything of the sort, but I was walking this evening and saw the exact same phenomena, three lights (with a trail of light) all moving to obscure to be an airplane or a helicopter, before disappearing into the horizon, then another "flying object" flying over the other three lights before taking off. What is this?

I saw the lights coming out of the neighborhood Wal-mart on the south side of Keller. First it was one big ball, then it split in two, then it split again so there were three. At the same time their quick descent turned into a slow drift. Moving back and forth and the flames turning on and off. Then I realized it was sky divers with flares on their legs. Startling at first, and very cool, but just sky divers.

I saw if too from the Woodland Springs subdivision. My pomeranian would not stop barking. She was barking outside and then ran inside and was barking at me but looking out the window above my head. I went out to the backyard and from my angle it looked like a meteor about to crash into the earth. It was black in the center with fire all around and streaming behind. Then it broke into three balls of light that were straight across, flashing in and out. They hovered for awhile and then they were in a diagonal formation, still flashing in and out. Then one remained very low on the horizon and then they were gone.

Just because the police didn't know about it, doesn't mean it wasn't sky divers. Once they all slowed down (chutes deployed) they all gently floated down all at the same speed. Slowly drifting back and forth as they descended. I've seen sky divers many times and the motions and speed of descent made it obvious that they were sky divers. If you want to believe it was something paranormal or out of this world that is your prerogative. But if they were indeed extra-terrestrials, they were sky-diving extra-terrestrials.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
