De Leon cops are now towing vehicles of people who are cited for not having insurance. The only other known place in Texas doing this is Dallas.

They should focus on all the extremely noisy pickups running around town showing off how loud they are. Those redneck pickups are very popular in Deleon.

Hickman, 100% agree with you. I live on Texas Street and hear it all the time. Also they need to put a stop to teens flying around the S-curve.

Bummer you're wrong about us rednecks getting an erection when we hear those loud pipes and see that black smoke. Most of us have an orgasm. And its not just the truck and tractor pull we have every year in De Leon that motivates us, there is one going on almost any weekend if you're willing to drive far enough which we do if its within a weekend drive. We've almost got that foriegn guy with the BMW talked into trying a pull with his Beamer.

It's because it's who you know and don't know in this town. It's wrong and look at when school is getting out at the end of the day not one cop there. Because someone might get a ticket. This town is bullshit. They say they look out for our Kids they can't even fix the pool so they have something to do all summer

It's a fact that all new cops are told who they can't touch. Kyle Caraway being a prime example.
Can you really blame them? They want to keep their jobs.
Plus, it kind of defeats the purpose when momma and daddy have a lawyer on retainer to make sure their precious angels don't have to face the consequences of their actions.

I see a cruiser every morning at the elm crosswalk. 50% of the time they have someone pulled over.
I would like to know why something has not been done about that Codey kid and his brother that trashed the cemetery. Him and his mother have been heard around town bragging about it.

I heard about that too, he brags about it all the time. I cant really think of his last name though. But I know he is a tall kid and he huffs paint. I really have no idea why the cops wont go after him when he goes around telling everyone at school that he did it.

if the cops would enforce the speed limit, that would be great. especially on residential streets where kids are playing. maybe if they handed out speeding tickets, the city could get more money to pay for things since the "church people" (who go to proctor to buy their alchol so they won't be seen) voted down the sale of alchol here in town.

Yes, it would be nice if the cops would actually enforce the speed limit, but it appears it won't happen. Every time I go through the middle of town observing the posted speed limit, there is always someone coming up on me from behind, doing at least 40. As far as kids playing in the street, maybe the parents should get off their lazy asses and forbid such things.
