Has anyone ever used the electrician Jack Abbey? I had him cvome look at a fairly big job and he had all kinds of ideas and told me all kinds of ways I could save money. He went to get materials and I've never seen him again. Is he so well off he doesn't have to work?

It sounds like he was actually trying to talk you out of even doing the job, what a businessman. This has happened to me also, not with Abbey, but with others. I'm always amazed at even with such a tough economy, people like that could care less if they worked or not. And it's often work that pays very well and they hardly work up a sweat doing it. Easy money. I know some guys in Michigan that are so hard up for work, they'd be begging you to do it.
