Delta Energy moving to Dublin

Delta Energy will soon call Dublin home. During a Monday meeting, Dublin City Council unanimously passed an economic development agreement ensuring Delta Energy will relocate to Dublin and build its headquarters on vacant land along Perimeter Drive.

This looks like a "win-win" situation for both Delta Energy and Dublin. A class company relocating to a class community.

How dare Delta Energy choose Dublin when Columbus has so much to offer? I demand Mayor Coleman fire off a memo reminding them of the 2.5% income tax.
Safe streets, a pro-business council, good schools, educated populace. The suburbs are no fun.

One more thought: If you don't think business leaders are going to take into consideration the income taxes of local municipalities, you're mistaken.
The Limited already did it when it decided to move to New Albany. Employees - and yes that includes executives - do not want to pay more in taxes.
Elsewhere where this insane taxation model was tried - New York, New Jersey, Maryland - it actually resulted in less revenue for the government.
Hey Columbus: Get used to it.

This can't be based on the fact that Columbus raised it's Income Tax recently, no never. Columbus wake up.
