Has anyone ever had any dealings with the State of Louisiana's CPS office? I have an underage family member that has been repeatedly molested by another family member in hte home. I was told by the state that it was not an issue! No wonder Louisiana ranks higher than most states in crime and is rated less than pathetic as far as education is concerned.
The old french parliment laws are seriously lacking, making them the most back woods state I've even encountered! They need to totally revamp the old system and create and enforce new laws.

God have control of everything and we are not here to judge one another. We need to sweep around our own front door before we sweep around someone else door. We all have faults and all made mistakes, we all have a day and time mark in God's book, if the baby never took a breath, he had other plans for that little angle. He will never put more on us than we can bare. Don't judge, pray for the one's going through this situation to strengthen them so they can overcome this. While you are praying for them god will bless you also.

I dont live in Oakdale, but I know from experience, they are really messed up in the head.
I have a tone of people that lives there, and they all are related some kind of way, double kin cousin marries each other sisters having babies by the same men. That town need to be burned down because its nothing but hell. I wouldnt lived there for free. Its a sad situation down there in the gettho projets, and poor torn up neighbor hoods.

Not everyone here in Oakdale are messed up in the head. Some of us have tried to change the way people think, but we southeners are stubborn to no end. That includes Texas. Everyone is acting as if this is an isolated incident that has only occured in Louisiana. Well, that shows how ignorant you all are. READ PEOPLE!! Read newspapers from across the country; even around the globe. This is a regular occurence due to a lack of parental supervision and young people who become confused about sexuality and parents are too stubborn or religious to explain and discuss feelings with their children. This was a sad incident, but does not make either one of these young people an evil entity, only misguided and confused.

busterboy: I agree. Oakdale may not be perfect, but it is home. I have great memories just as I have sad memories from Oakdale. And anyone who says that they only have great memories of their hometown (and absolutely no bad ones) is a liar. No place on this earth is perfect. There is crime and death in every city, town, and village around the world.

The girl was not even from Oakdale she was from Pitkin. And while I agree what happened was a bad situation, the girl does have very responsible parents but as many of you know that have children you can't keep your eyes on them 24-7.

Before you knock the state's education with your words, maybe you should check your own spelling skills and learn how to spell parliament!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
