has anyone seen Andy lately? i know someone that works in the industrial park and the speed is miserable on rocco's isp. word is they are going to switch from rocco to charter for the increase speed which will be nearly increased by 10 times going with Charter. So now it looks like the few businesses in the park are jumping sheep.

Has he or Andy paid any of that money back to the county for not meeting there April deadline on the payback of the funds fronted to start with by the County?

when is rocco or andy going to give back the land to the county and pay the fines for failure to meet conditions of the contract? any extensions should be long out of date

Is Rocco paying the property tax on the land we gave him? Should be about $800/yr by my calculations. Does anyone how I can find out?

very good question, i doubt it because he has asked and i think they have approved him for yet another INCENTIVE cause now he and Andy say they are ready to move forward and do something... what BS.... how on earth can our county give him MORE MONEY when he has not kept one promise.

can't someone just complain to the nc dept of justice and make them come in and investigate the fraud that andy and rocco have seemed to commit? i mean, our locals can't stop that right?

Because silly u can't stop the good ole boy network in mcdowell. Webb, Gillespie, Abernathy, etc are the untouchables of this area. Try to buck them and you are the one in trouble.

so why has the mcdowell news not followed up on this and the fact the contractual agreements have not been met? if this were just john doe like me they would be putting it on front page every couple of months over failure to honor contract and/or i would be arrested for obtaining money or land by false pretense. have the subs rocco hired to do the schools finished up yet? they were way behind too and charging a ridiculous amount of money

i would sure like a follow up story by the mcdowell news and/or wlos to see just whats going on with this.

The statement above from August is justified. Has Rocco and Andy paid back money to county or has county taken action to reclaim the property and back taxes that were foregone then extensions given at least twice? So how about it, I am a taxpayer and I want answers from abernathy, webb, disanto, and commissioners for allowing this to go on so .long without resolution or action. Have penalties and fines been imposed for breech of contract? Were school jobs by at least two of Rocco and Webb's company names completed properly and at what cost? Were other bids obtained?

County commission meeting tomorrow, 5pm at the county admin building. Starts at 5, public comments scheduled for 8 pm. I'm sure you both will show up and ask,right?

sure they will since that would ruin their lives for going up against the good ole boy club.  citizens shouldn't have to show up to expect those answers
