What do you think is wrong with Maine? What would you do to change it?

There are many issues and agendas here in "Vacationland" that need to be addressed. What do you think is the most important and the most critical?

Assist people who abuse alcohol and that will solve a lot of problems. It is a state-wide problem. Also, starting in the schools, actively promote wellnes, addressing diet and exercise and the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

The problem with Maine is thare are too many people living off the State. Cut welfare. Make it uncomfortable to be a parasite. Instead of giving taxpayers' money to people who have not earned it, invest in the infrastructure of commerce. Promote Maine as a tourist destination, business location and awesome place to raise your family. Eliminate the anti-business laws and taxes. Cut taxes in general, especially the ones that interfere with tourism, such as the lodging tax and gas tax. When commerce increases, tax revenue will increase and prosperity will return to Maine. There is no reason why we could not have one of the best states in America. Instead, we have a divided welfare state where Portland decides how to spread our wealth among the lazy and incompetant.
