What do you think about the Algood fire dept?WHAT about the chief?EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME TO THE MEETING TUESDAY TO SUPPORT OUR MAYOR!

The Mayor can't send any of those firefighters home. It's a public meeting! Not to mention they're all volunteers, what's she gonna do, withhold their paychecks? HA! The Mayor doesn't have ANY power to do any of that the way the government is set up in Algood! Or Cookeville for that matter...

Now that Norris finally got smart and stepped down, perhaps that Dept. has a chance at becoming a decent department and not just a bunch of morons in fire helmets... but I am sure Norris will be operating behind the scenes.

Perhaps the council had anticipated what happened and are already one step ahead and ready for the next move; all the while becoming legal as was the goal. We don't see the council going back and forth on what they say. They stick to their convictions. Why this town fights so hard to do things legally is beyond me.
