My husband and I also were screwed out of over 12,000 by HareStuart. The saddest thing is he came to OUR home, walked in the field with Me and my 2 Small children, knowing what an investment this was for us, promised us the moon, and took ALL of our plants after promising us payment, and never paid us a DIME!!! We are hard working people who trusted in Hare, and he has yet to contact us in the last year! Promises to pay us back...Ignored!!! I am so sickened by this experience, and embarassed to admit We fell for this scandal!!! Anyone with info on who to sign up to sue this a--, let me know!!!We are on board.

Dear Sadly Taken,
One thing we can do is keep this forum going...hopefully anyone "investing" will google and arrive at this spot, however we need to keep this timely especially since there has been movement to AK.
I am sorry for your loss. I too was screwed out of 15,000 knowing I have five kids coming up into college.
Part of the scam is gaining your trust and then taking it all away! So Madoff eh?
Take a look at the court administration records of MN, WI, and OK. You will find some names. There are plenty of people who have been scammed by *&*( who goes under many dba or fka.

Hare's business in Arkansas is now named College Avenue Gardens. He left all of his product in Muskogee, OK out on the paved parking lot where he set up business to dry out and die. He then packed up and moved to Fayetteville, AR-he started with the same business name Delafield Gardens, but he quickly changed it to College Avenue Gardens. He tells anyone who will listen of his bitter divorce-how an employee stole thousands of dollars from him in OK-and everything else he can come up with to make himself seem like the victim. He will also tell of his 3700 sq ft home he "SUPPOSEDLY" just purchased. I know several people that work directly with him through a large Nursery in Northeastern OK-and they all have nothing positive to say about him. Not him as a PERSON--but him as a businessman. I would deal with this man at your own risk.

Thanks for the most recent comments! It is wonderful that this thread continues as it will hopefully pop up in search engines and prevent someone else from dealing with this person.

Hare did set up in Fayetteville Arkansas. He scammed my husband and I. We ordered shrubs from him months ago. He made us pay in advance. He has hassled us for months, excuse after excuse why we don't have our plants.(He gets them from Green Leaf Nursery in Oklahoma.) His excuses have included--"the fields are too wet", "we are slammed with seminars", and my favorite: "One of our employees has a staph infection, and we didn't want to contaminate your plants by picking them up in Oklahoma." What the hell? Finally we just got our money back after 2 months of excuses.
I have a friend who works at Green Leaf in Oklahoma who says that he buys "second" plants, and sells them at full price. HE is SLEEZY! I wish he would get the heck out of Fayetteville. I hate sleezy businessmen and he is one of the WORST!
