The "get involved now" website is a joke. It's someone's poor attempt at trying to be a media expert, but it's a laughable attempt with half-truths and innuendo....not to mention the spelling and grammar issues that make even a minimally educated person cringe.
If Mr. Broughton is serious about running a real campaign why is he associated with someone who seems to have made it their career to publish slanderous items on people not just in Douglas but Clayton County as well? |

While I agree with your opinion, I want to suggest why I think he does it; Because it works. You seem to think logic would dictate avoiding such an obvious slant/slander machine and you would be right if the National Inquirer wasn't such a massive seller of their version of "the truth". What Broughton's handlers (come on, nobody believes he's capable of getting even this far on his own talents) see is that short, easy to remember messages pumped out at regular intervals will become so common they will seem like the truth simply by exposure. This works with all populations, but it's particularly effective with people who have been taught their entire lives that they are victims who have been wronged by all kinds of assorted tormentors (historical, real or imagined). They are so accustomed to having bad news dropped on them that digesting this material is nearly automatic. Can you think of a government segment that literally teaches and enhances this message to their charges? One that starts around the time they are ready to learn to read maybe? We allowed the government to dig this hole we find ourselves in. Douglas county has become a prize selected for takeover by the Atlanta machine. Only a shell of what built this county remains and even less of that governing legacy. We are under attack here. The attack is entirely legal of course. But consider who it is locally that seems to want to throw banana peels in front of us. And for what? A buck? One more bit of food for thought; one common element of Clayton, Fulton and Dekalb government is their complete apathy toward infrastructure items like roads and sewers. Since most of the water we drink in this county comes from the Dog River reservoir and is processed within the county (we're nearly a water supply island), how will the system fare when the apathetic infection reaches it? I predict problems by 2025 or so (nagging issues like outages and poisonings). This is not just my imagination. Look at Gary, Detroit, Newark and consider how that problem was handled in Atlanta. A hint; where are all the housing projects? Grobbbbbbbbbbbbbb |

He knows our county is to be taken over and that he's part of that effort. Grobbbbbbbbbb |

The beauty of the plan is that he won't need your vote. In race politics the black voters generally unite behind the candidate who is black and white voters are usually split between more than 1 white candidate. When you use race as your weapon, all you need to do is add population. But of course, white people can't use this weapon lest they be called that dreaded word (racist). Grobbbbbbbbbb |

Judged: 1 You have no clue about what would happen to our county if this man was elected. He is not qualified for this position. Oh, and I think we all know why the vote was so close last time. Your argument is further invalidated by incoherent sentence structure and poor spelling. That is all. |
