Can't use community service people on private land. That wouldn't work.

I think that working on privately owned farmland picking crops could be worked out in a heartbeat as long as the crybabies didn't start protesting. Perhaps the fact that it's food...could it be considered an "emergency" situation?

That means that the consumer will have to pay more! That's just common sense! The huge agri farmers are smarter than that. They'll just close, buy land in Central and South America and ship the produce back.Good luck, South Georgia.

I think I'll go buy some farmland just so I can have a bunch of felons around my family! What could possibly go wrong???

What could possibly go wrong??? You know, FED UP, perhaps if you did buy some farmland and hire some felons, that would put some people TO WORK PLUS it might get some of the convicts away from the ping pong tables and barbells and actually require them to "give back" and earn their keep. Yep! I like it. How soon can you purchase that farmland??????

The bottom line is the farmer don't want to hire ex-cons. Here are the reason the farmer gave for not wanting to hire ex-con.
1. They don't want them around they family 2. They will complain to much 3. They will use they land to commit crimes
Now the reason above are the reasons the farmers gave on the radio. This in no way my opinion. So please don't attach me. I will say since employers are free to hire who they want. And employee are free to work where they please. How do we get these 2 groups together if they don't want to be? I also hear they are paying $16 per hour, do anyone know if that is true?

Stiffen the fines and penalties on the employers who hire illegals. The same for property owners who rent to them. They are here for jobs. Take that away and they'll go home. I've already seen a decrease with the housing market the way it is.
