The citizens should have the right to dictate how the cops do their jobs. That is far better than the system that is in place currently. In the current system, any potential police wrong doing or illegal activety is investigated by the police themselves. And, typically it is the same police department that the cop in question works for. So, obviously, it is a gross conflict of interest from day one. From there, the DA can get involved; but in actuality this rarely happens. After all, the DA and the cops are on the same side of the law anyway.
And, even if a couple of cop's do wind up with their sorry blue **** in trouble and they get canned; the police union just appeals the decision and the cop's get their jobs back anyway. So, typically they answer to no one.
So, the current system works great, if you happen to be a cop. But, if you are a citizen and you actually pay attention to what the cops are getting away with throughout the US; the current system is a shame. It is nothing but smoke and mirrors in a feeble attempt to make the citizens feel that the police are effectively policing their own.
the police who do the investigations are carefully chosen and do not wotk with and are often unliked by the others on the department, as a matter of fact they work in a different building. most of these officers take their job seriously, whichis why they are not liked.
I have found that most people who think that cops should not have a taser or should not be allowed to use force think and feel this way as they are more than likely to have run ins with the police and know that their smart mouth or bad attitude will cause them to be tased and or arrested. so if you dont want it to happen to you then "DO AS YOU ARE TOLD BY THE POLICE WHEN THEY STOP YOU"

You are clearly either a cop, an ex cop, a cop's lover, or a police union rah rah man.

Sure, the police make some half hearted effort to show the public that they investigate wrong doing by one of their own. But again, this is done more to please the public than it is to actually properly address internal police problems. The police throughout our land have a long established history of attempting to please the public while taking as soft of a line as they can get away with in regards to one of their own.

Many people refer to this as The Blue Wall of Silence. I call it The Big Blue Diaper. Again, it is the mechanism that is in place in most any police department to contain all the crap that is happening.

And dumba$$, if you don't have a problem with the police tazoring a 76 year old man multiple times who is riding a tractor in the annual town parade, because the police needed their fragile egos stroked, you are clearly misguided. Besides that, every Manufacturer of Tazors clearly states that the Tazor is to be used once only, or personal injury or death can happen. And, the damn fool cops throughout our land keep Tazoring people multiple times. Needless to say, they should be charged with negligent homicide whenever someone dies after being Tazored more than once by the police.

it has been said that a little paranoia is good as it will keep you alert but you clearly have taken this and your hatred for authority to a new level. Go back to pinky and the brain and let the adults handle this.

It is clear the "Ohio Lawyer" has never studied law or he or she would realize the officer's actions were legally jutified

I have never met a Police officer who is literate and numerate. All of them should be fired and we should start over with a set of MINIMUM qualifications.

"Abuse" is legally justified? The reason they were fired is probably to head off a civil lawsuit which is very costly. Police are routinely abusive. That fact is not a state secret...see Youtube videos or watch the nightly news some time. What a riot.

give a dumb ass a badge,a title and a guy,he thinks hes God.scientific studies have shown that a high percentage of cops were bullied when they were kids in school,,,they think they are superman when two or more respond to any type call,,,,you ever see one cop arrest one man?its usually a minimum of 4 cops with the guy spread eagle on the ground with cops feet and knees in his back and the cops yelling "stop resisting"

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Pisces

This is another good day to be tactful, and if anything you'll be even more successful than you were yesterday. This is not to be sneezed at, so seize the opportunity to talk to people who can sometimes be very touchy or who need to be handled with kid gloves. If you meet someone who's older or more influential than you, you'll be a big hit with them.
