To the parent or parent who had kids on the trip Saturday at the river you are a real Dumba-- .For you to have called the law telling them that the teacher who does the trips every year had kidnapped your kid or kids this year. If you were my parents I would not claim you as my Mother or Father I would run away. For you to call your self a adult and make such a dumb act as calling the law to a teacher again just to let you know you are a real DUMB--.

Did it occur to any of the kids that thier parents called the law for a purpose?? Because they LOVE thier kids and wanted to find the sense of security to know they were alright?? I know of several,,and i mean several people got in that water and never ame back up alive!! so kids thank your parents for loving you..do not be ashamed of your parents to meet the "incroed" kids..a good parents love is uncondition..so parent who called..kudos to you for loving your kids!!

If you had a fear of your kids going into the river you should have never let them go into it in the first place.I STRESS MY POINT YOU ARE A DUMBA--.But one of you so call parents call the law on the teacher, when if you loved your child so much you should have been there with them.Thats what wrong with kids today you want someone else to take care of your kids. When you need to be a part of your kids life and you might get to know your kids better rather than a taxi cab service.

They should be charged with filing a false report! That is a good way of reuining a teacher's reputation, especially a male teacher. Way to go CC quality!

People need to think a little more before they jump and call 911 there were 2 CCSD and a fire truck at the landing and a Game Warden with a boat coming before the parents got a clue

This teacher is much loved and respected by his students. My son went on this very same river trip several years ago and took along his Uncle and adult cousin and loved every minute of it. This teacher so impressed my son with his love of the river and conservation that he has made multiple trips to river clean ups and appreciates the importance of our river system. It's very sad indeed that a little, or rather a lot, of common sense wasn't used in considering what could have slowed their arrival down. The river being low would have slowed them a great deal. Unfortunately this incident will most likely end this yearly trip because that's what always seems to happen to good things kids can be involved in. Praying this doesn't end the career of a dedicated teacher.

It's a new breed of parents. You know the type. The hovering helicopter moms. They follow their kids to college and still type their papers.

If you had a much unconditional love as a parent as you say you did you would have been with them in the river.Anybody can cry wolf but a real parent is there ready to kill the wolf that goes back to you want someone else to babysit your child you just want to be a Gogetter. Go take them to someone else to take care of then when you got time for your kids you go get them.

I was at the river saturday my self it is so low the poor kids had to walk most of the way rather than float.I am sure someone on this trip had a cell phone, if I was a betting man I would say the parent that called had something they were in a hurry to do. Here again I have to say lazy Dumba-- Parents from what I have read here.
