It would save a lot of money putting the 9th grade back at the main campus. I can't believe they won't all fit? Why didn't we build the high school big enough to house all of the high school? Then we could cut the admins and sell the property on Gaskin.

When HS was built, there were already too many students.

When 9th graders where there, teachers were floating b/c there were not enough classrooms, halls were packed.

Yep...you have no idea what you are talking about so shut it.

I totally agree that the 9th grade needs to be moved back to the high school campus.
Let's just don't hang Dr. Leis because you think that he is not local...
The current high school cannot fit over 1700 students. When the 9th grade is put out there, the numbers were over 2100.

What do you idiots not get?

Well then why didn't they build a school to hold the amount of students it needed to hold? What don't you get? It was a horrible misuse of money. It isn't even fitting our needs.

The typical graduating class is 300. Where are you getting 2100 from? I would say 600 freshman, 500 sophomores, 400 juniors and 300 seniors. Those numbers are ball park numbers and are over estimated. 1800 at most.

The middle school students would fit nicely at the high school and all of the high school students would fit at the middle school. But we sure can't be away from that football stadium.

It makes great sense to build a middle school bigger than the high school. Just banking on some drop-outs, huh?

Freshmen is closer to 700 each and every year and the graduating class of 2012 had 410 in it before the last two weeks of school(we aren't talking about what graduates. We are talking about how many 12th grade bodies are at school.) Right there is approx. 1100. Would want to continue with this argument?

The state and federal government controls the funding for the school. They use population numbers from 3 years prior and do not project growth. With that being said, CC #1 industry is child production!

Just round the numbers for 2012

9th 600
10th 600
11th 450
12th 410

total enrollment for 2011-2012 2050

Too many bodies for the halls of CHS.
and so

#137 Jul 19, 2012
And so why did they build a school that could not hold all four grades???

It goes 600, 500, 400, 300....roughly. People are inflating the numbers to prove their point. The point being the high school is too small to house all of them.

So how long are we proposing that we keep the freshman school around? Seriously, it is the oldest school ever.
