I never met Tracie but I know for sure that J.B. was not dating some judge's son, deputy, etc...nor would she have ever been involved in drugs. She dedicated her life to her dream of being a dancer so she would have never done anything to jeopardize that! PLEASE stop spreading those rumors about her. In fact, if you really believe you had actual knowledge about what happened then you would be speaking to the police instead of on some message board. The only thing worse than losing J.B. has been the way so many have tried to smear her name & reputation. She was the sweetest & most beautiful (inside & out) that I have known. Thank you to those who have helped keep her memory alive. Without pressure from the public & the media I fear the Ozark police would have long given up even the pretense of trying to find the soulless SOB who killed them!!

These girls matter. It doesn't matter if it has been 10 years or 100 years. Someone has gotten away with murder. Killers don't just stop--what about the next girl. Will you help save the next girl? Let's put the SOB that killed these girls where he belongs--on trial for murder!

I grew up with Brantley, too. I smoked pot with him some. I don't think he committed suicide, and I don't know about murdering anyone. But he was one of the meanest people I ever knew.

bill wrote: <quoted text> I honestly think someone on the police force killed those girls, and in the end i bet you im right. Did they ever think to look at their own. look how those girls was killed. no jo blow from the streets can ever pull something off like that. It really amazes me that they have DNA and cant find out who killed theses girls. If the young man was buried and not burned they can dig his a** up. I know that family and they do have alot of money by screwing people over but if they son indeed did this they should give theses girls family peace. I would still want dna proof though The girl driving was having an affair with a police officer and was supposedly going to tell his wife so he had a good motive

mel wrote: <quoted text> I heard the same thing... I lived in Ozark,Al at the time of the murders and the guy that overdosed was supposedly JUDGE STEAGALL's grandson. I have heard many things but the truth is that the Ozark police screwed up EVERYTHING!!!! that alone points to what I was told on the street. One of the girls was seeing a married cop and threatened to tell his wife. It NEEDS to be solved!!!!! The cops in Ozark were very dirty at that time!!!!!! I've heard a LOT that seems to make sense. I also know the guy that supplied cops with all their steroids. I know someone that supposedly KNOWS who but they won't talk to the law because of the dirty ones. Just goes to show when your cops are dirty who ya gonna go to?!?!?!??? Its a very FUCKED UP THING!!!!

Ozark was voted one of the top places to retire but living there made my mind up. It is one place filled with dirty cops and politics. I'll tell anyone that. I'm sick of people with badges walking around thinkin their shit don't stink. Guess what.....the badge they hold is only a cowards hiding spot!! If a person is gonna be a cop then do it for the RIGHT REASONS. ALL people talked about should submit DNA and find out once and for all. Cops are NOT ABOVE BEING LOOKED AT. every law enforcement should be looked at and badgered just like they did that poor barentine guy they tried to pin it on.

I was told that the judges GRANDSON did not do it but he DID KNOW WHO AND WHY. the note was covered up so that the judges name wouldn't be tarnished. Just another dirty ass politic coverup

Trust me...I've talked to the cops til I'm blue in the face. I never said either one of those girls were doing drugs, I said the guys that drove the car from where they were killed to where the car was found, were on drugs...and that R.C.'s now dead sister lived right around the corner from where the car was found. And that R.C. and T.J. were the biggest narcs in the county. Anybody who cooked smoked or sold meth to or with R.C./T.J. got BUSTED. And if you are a meth head in Dale Co. who got busted at anytime just before or at anytime after these girls were killed, you got busted because of R.C. and T.J. The Newton cops used to make big money off these guys and the so called Dale co. Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force made a lot of money and busted a lot of pot smokers because of these two losers...DOG KILLERS... Newtons pretty much all cleaned up now, but back then, well, it was dirty dirty dirty.......
