issues until the city started letting in section 8 from Oakland and Richmond. I have lived here for 19 years and have never seen crime this bad. Does not matter what the race is, what matters is that the city bans together to push these gangbangers out of here. I say bring back the public hanging and making examples of criminals in front of the public & maybe others will think twice before commuting a crime.

You know what's funny. I took a trip to San Francisco the other day near to Haight ashbury. I stopped off near Alamo Square (The park near the painted sisters). That whole area was pretty much was low income projects at one time. You still see the bars on the windows. But you don't see Low income people in there anymore. Because property values have sky rocketed in San Francisco. So it's like this trendy area now. Guess where those low income people went to? They call it "Gentrification". And it's clear as hell that back room deals were made to relocate the former tenants of these projects. And I'm pretty sure my real estate agent knew about this before I purchased my house.

It's a bummer that things r so bad. But really, bitching on here makes us feel better but it doesn't do anything. Either move away and give up or do something. Everyone on here says the same stuff over and over but never does anything for the community. Our inaction is just as bad as their crimes in a way. The police can't keep a handle on it and with this crap economy they're talking layoffs. Start more neighborhood watches, talk to the police about what u can do. But really, bitching about the decline of Antioch will not stop what's happening.
