It seems that this president's administration is getting involved way outside its scope of responsibility. Forcing Chrysler & now GM into bankruptcy so that the government can then take over under its own terms (with taxpayers' money) seems way off base to me. I left Cuba because of such shnanigans.

The fact that the dealerships that were designated to be closed were not chosen based on profitability appears suspect to me and should smell bad to every busienss owner. YOUR BUSINESS MAY BE OBAMA's NEXT TARGET. My take would be that the owners of the dealerships to be closed probably leaned toward the "right" therefore not given the privilege given to the "leftists". Ironic that those that would oppose the ideology of capitalism, as does our supreme leader Obama, would get to keep their business and make money.

Plesae people, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE CRAP. You and I are being buried under it and may never get if we do not WAKE UP NOW!

Wow, way to jump on the bandwagon McCollum. This guy has done very little as Attorney General, and now he wants to run for Governor! Holy Cow, this guy has always been a disaster even when he was a Democrat. He is a government ia evil type which always means more money out of our wallets. Vote a Dem in for a change. We need real leadership in Tallahassee. The Repubs have done NOTHING for SoFla.

Guess what folks. Chrysler is broke. They may very well go under. They are doing what ever they think they need to do just to survive. I am very sorry your dealerships are on the choping block, but that is the way things work out sometimes. Many thousands of people are going to get hurt, you happen to be one that will get hurt more than others. Hopefully you have saved for this rainy day which has been coming for about 20 years.

There is ZERO evidence to your accusations. Obama is not a Republican and what you describe is EXACTLY what a Republican would do (and did do under Bush), not a Democrat way of thinking.

Obama is not targeting anyone's business, the car makers went to the Fed Government to ASK for help in keeping the companies alive. We rightly gave them the financial support they needed to keep the operating. They ASKED for this oversight as it came with the money.

The only criticism is that he did not do the same thing to the banks where that kind of oversight was greatly needed.

You are wrong in your accusations and need to wake up yourself. The Republicans put us into this mess, it is theif fault and not one person has shown the leadership or deceny to stand up and take responsiblity. Instead they write the same drivel that you did. Be part of the solution not the problem.

The dealers object? Oh no, cry me a river. The same dealers that have been providing sub-par customer service for years? The same dealers who will do nothing short of selling their mothers to slavery to squeeze every penny from the customer? The same dealers who wash their hands when they can't fix a problem (and trust me, Chryslers have a lot of problems)? Who cares?

Yep, Chrysler and GM (with Ford to possibly follow) have been on this path to self-demise for YEARS! I don't care if they go out of business, or close the dealerships, or restructure in one way or another, BUT, they must do it fairly. IN ADDITION, don't do it with TAXPAYERS MONEY.
WHERE in the constitution does it say it is the Governments job to be involved in these matters?(HINT: IT DOESN'T)... It is NOT THEIR PLACE, nor their job....

Forcing them into bankruptcy? How ignorant are you? They drove themselves to bankruptcy due to poor market strategy. At a time when it was obvious that the price of oil would be going up, these 2 jackasses (and to an extent Ford too) were giddy with excitement pushing only their gigantic highly profitable SUVs. When the price finally went up, guess what? They were unprepared. Much like they were in the gas crunch of the 70s. The reason they're bankrupt is due mostly to the greedy unions and to lack of vision. Yes, SUVs were very profitable but anyone who has so much as glanced at the automotive market in the last 40 years knows that fluctuations will occur and you'd better be ready. GM and Chrysler weren't. Their economical models were absolute crap while their gas guzzling V8s were damn good. Problem is, the V8s are not the best sellers.

Chrysler is restructuring and many of the dealerships being taken away are profitable and provide jobs. Do you know what the government is doing with these franchises that were bought and paid for by American citizens? taking them and giving them to someone else. If the govt was taking your house and giving it to someone else with no compensation to you, I think you would be singing a different tune. This is not the America I know.

The issues in the country are not divided by two political parties.

We are divided by one group of people asking the government to force others to take care of them and one group wanting the government as far away from thier families as possible so they can take care of themselves.

What socialist policies? List them please, I want to know! The Police Department? The Fire Department? The Veterans Administration? Medicare? Social Security? You mean THOSE Socialist programs?

I love how you are one of the types that think the last 8 years has no relation on what is happening today.

You and your brain dead ilk are the reason we are in this mess. Then you don't even acknowledge that! You cure is to do the EXACT same thing that put us in this mess. Your ideology is bankrupt, and misguided. You have no new ideas for anything all you can do is hurl baseless critcisms, try to pass tax cuts for the wealthy as a cure all, tell people who can marry who as long as you agree with it, scare the populace so people in Nebraska are freaked out about a dirty bomb. Face facts you did nothing positive for this country, you are terrible Americans and have no idea what socialism actually is.

Answer this question: Which would you rather have. A business manager who has a profit objective to keep their costs down in between you and your doctor OR a direct connection with your Doctor who could order whatever preventive care or emergency care you needed to stay healthy.

Knowing you, you would answer against your own best interest because the right answer does not fit into your misguided ideology.

Well done.

Yep, the super wealthy Conservative and Republican Bankers ran to the government with their hands out and crying and asked to be bailed out with your tax dollars while the homeowners just want to earn a living and make their mortgage payments, or have the courts adjust them.

That is what you mean right?

The constitution also described some protections from the government that we had.
Of course we have them no more thanks to Bush and Cheney. But you are OK with that because you are a Republican and they can do not wrong. And in your little warped mind a Democrat can do no right. Keep drinking the Koolaid and not thinking for yourself.

we know the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was legislated into being as the solution to recessions, panics and depressions. As you can see they have been emminately unsuccessful. That is why we champion the passage of Rep. Ron Paul’s B ill HR 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009 - a Bill with 179 co-sponsors. The Bill would cause a congressional Audit of the privately owned Fed, which we believe would lead to its demise and with its functions being returned to the US Treasury, which our Constitution provided for.

We are in today’s horrible situation because the Fed encouraged, as a matter of policy, that banks use 40 to 60 times leverage in lending instead of the historically sound ratio of 8 to 10 to one. For each dollar on deposit 8 or 10 could be prudently lent out. Due to the economy at the time subprime real estate loans were encouraged, where borrowers were ill suited for loans. the result was a real estate bubble followed by collapse. This is solely the responsibility of the banks and the Fed. This is a story of excess leverage and greed.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Leo

If you look closely, you'll see a black cloud hovering over a loved one's head. They'll find the smallest excuse for losing their temper or throwing a tantrum, so tiptoe around them or try to jolly them out of their filthy mood. If the situation continues you may decide that it would be better to get the inevitable argument out of the way than to pussyfoot around them any longer.
