What you ned to do is go to the next Clay Kentucky city council meeting and confront the filthy mouthed officer to his face. Make him admit what he did right there in front of everyone. And hold him to the fire on it...dont back down from him and once you get him backing up then push him hard until he admits what he did.

Now of you confronted the cop in an alley at 1:00 am in the morning he could lie and say you threatened him and then take you to jail. But if you do it in front of the citizens you will have plenty of credible witnesses there.

Ill bet House skins him alive then.

I dont know any of the officers names in Clay nor do i know how many police officers are in Clay. The only persons name i know who is on City of Clay payroll is Householder.

I dont think the name Chris was mentioned.

And i dont care if the officers name was Chris, Moe, Larry or Curly...if any cop does what the NDE from Clifty claims then everyone in town has the right to know about it.
If in fact a cop takes the liberty to curse and threaten a person in the public domain that cop should also be subject to rebuke withing the public domain.

the only officer in clay is chris evitts. householder is the mayor and doesnt get paid near enough for the bull he puts up with.

i think chris is a good policeman for this small town hes taking a lot of the druggies off the streets since hes been here.

Sounds to me that we have a sniffling criminal wanna-be who is complaining when a good police officer does his job well.
This Chris fellow sounds like he took charge of a bad situation and did what an officer is supposed to do, defuse a bad situation.
Just because Clay residents are used to the Harry Vaughns, and Cindy Cato's of the world, that allowed criminals to run loose and drugs to flurish.
You should be greatful that this Chris fellow is cleaning up Clay and not letting trash get by with crime.
Everyone in Clay should hug "House" for letting this Chris fellow do his job.

I dont know if Chris Evitts is a good cop or a bad cop...so i cant say one way or the other.
But if you want my honest opinion about cops in general i can give it.

I would first like to start by saying i dont have a crIminal record so ive never been in jail.

Im from Providence and with the general behavior of most cops weve had in the past i dont trust any of them until i have a good reason to. My opinion is maybe one out of six cops are actually good cops who want to do a good job and do what is right.

You would think a person whos been arrested and jailed for stealing or selling drugs would feel this way but im just a normal working guy who based upon my previous experiences i know how cops are.

I hope none of them get shot or injured and they return home safe to their families after work. But i feel that way about all cops whether they be in little town Clay or big city Louisville.

I seriously considered being a cop one time.

That is one additional reason i detest abusive and or crooked cops.

Some of you people kill me. I have respect for all officers of the law but I have seen first hand myself how some officers can let their athority go to their head. I am not a criminal myself so before you start pointing your fingers at me listen to what i have to say. In a small town such as clay everyone knows everyone and just because this chris guy may be your friend does not mean that he did not say what he was accused of. I feel that this is one of the problems with small towns and the reason why some officers can get away with whatever they want. If this guy is such a good cop he should handle situations such as this one in a professional manner. Honest truth is from another town therefore he does not have a biased opinion of this officer. Things like this is what makes people have bad opinions of cops. By the way, I am a former cop myself...

My, you Ky. folks sure do get in an uproar about the local law. I sure wish you would feel that way about the state, federal and world news. Maybe you do and nobody listens. With enough comments like what I saw, you could change for the better so many injustices. It has to start somewhere. Why not with you.

NDE, your description of the Clay police officer doesnt sound accurate at all. I've had encounters with him at Jeri's Cafe several times, and he doesnt seem like someone who would abuse his power and act that way. And I think hes doing a good job at taking care of all of us In Clay.

Exactly where does Braden come into this discussion? We were talking about one local police officer who is employed by the City Of Clay. We were not talking about state troopers with multi county or state wide jurisdiction who are employed by the state.
