Don't listen to THE REPORTER. Think for yourselves. Don't bother voting for the 10th Congressional District, the outcome is predetermined. Don't be a patsy.

I am thinking for myself and I think I will follow the Reporters suggestions. Fear mongering, name calling and purporting opinion as fact aren't very persuasive arguments for following your suggestions.

As always information gathering is a critical step in making a sound decision. The Reporter, like most papers, makes it's endorsements based on an "interview" of the candidates when questioned on a series of topics that currently face our schools.

Sure the paper may not endorse a certain candidate and may in one's opinion "not have gotten it right", but in this case I feel the paper got it spot on. Vote, Zwick, Whitman, and Flask.

If you don't vote, then don't complain.

Max is correct in his analysis of the Congressional race. Your three assertions are off target and typical sound bytes of the left who won't intelligently argue the facts. However, unlike Max, I will be voting for David Harmer as this race is much closer than Garamendi would like it to be. Besides that, the Democratic party has already demonstrated their incompetence and utter disregard of the Constitution and all of them deserve to be shot as the traitors they are to this country.

This is only one race. Frankly, I found it hard to believe that the Repeater got it right for the Dixon school board race. Now I know why seeing their statement in this issue. They liked Di Paola's call for a parcel tax. Typically liberal solution to the liberal created problem of lack of funding. Try getting the liberal controlled state legislature to cut their welfare programs and out of control union pay to restore money to the schools. Don't come to the taxpayers and ask for even more.

As for your contention that their endorsement is based on interviews, I would suggest that the Repeater staff as well as you might want to attend a Solano Irrigation District board meeting rather than asking questions where the response is not based in the timely reality. Currey does not ask questions, has not accomplished anything in 10 years, and is looking to increase rates by 54% to citizens of Dixon and 87% to farmers. Currey isn't interested in keeping costs down, he is interested in raising revenue for this supposed "public" entity.

Why are we still paying tax assessments for the Monticello Dam when the dam is paid off? How did SID manage to accumulate $33 million in reserves with no identified purpose for this money when it established rates? Why are they asking to replace these reserves with no purpose for this money?

Maybe a "little" research could be done rather than listening to the lies of entrenched Bad Old Boys. BOB Currey is exactly that ...

Endorsements based on an interview? Give me a break...Voting public, be informed...do those who speak the loudest get the vote much like the squeaky wheel gets the oil? Doug Ford must hold the county record for losing it in a public meeting...does that make him the champion of the public? Don't think so...vote Levine...at least she doesn't have scurrilous ties with the media...

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Cancer

Take things gently otherwise you'll end up running round in ever-decreasing circles. Yes, you may still have a lot to do but you won't achieve very much if you develop butterfingers or waste all your energy on a full-blown panic. Maybe you could rope someone into helping you, rather than doing your Cinderella act in the kitchen while everyone else takes it easy?
