We can sit here and quote theories and studies and opinions all day, but let me ask all of you a question. Have you ever talked with a person, you know, the droopy eyed, kinda "duh" individual who makes you say to yourself "this guy / girl has got to smoke weed". Most of the time your right, they do? And we all know that experience. So, with that being said, is that what you want your kids using?, is that what you want the guy in the next lane on 580 using?
I don't give a damn about rhesus monkey's, I care about human beings. I love how you reverse harder drug users as having used marijuna, but not the other way around (great theory). You answer my question about deaths (cops, dealers, people) by relating it to prohibition. Really???
DCA, Marijuana is destructive. I've watched it turn a quick witted, smart, bright and intelligent young person into a slow droopy eyed, lazy, loser. So, where's the studies on that. Your a fool for writing a lengthy document supporting a destructive chemical. Cannabis is not destructive. Lousy parents are. Cannabis when used in moderation is a FANTASTIC, MIRACLE plant.

Many cancer patients "light-up", plus other folks smoke with success. None of ours or Haters business. I would rather be open-minded and happy (like us) than a hater that's mad at the world...

The fact that someone who does not partake is willing to write on it's defense is proof that science/education and not opinion/stereotyping is being considered. Thank you to DCA and thank goodness. I too do not "partake" but I can see the benefits and pitfalls of marijuana.
As far as the "slow droopy eyed, lazy, losers" statement is concerned. That is very mean (I'm sure you have an excuse for that talk) Excluding the word losers, many good people have conditions that cause those symptoms (including marijuana smoking)stroke, depression, legal pain management, cancer, etc.
Please find something that makes you happy in life. It would be great to have conversations with you but the hostility has to go.
"Real in Livermore" Thanks JABA - I know there are a lot of people who agree with me on this subject. Not only is marijuana not a dangerous drug -but it will bring in a lot of money for our state and the country if legalized..and we definitely need that, especially now. As long as people are responsible with it - as they are expected to be with alcohol - there should be no problems. If anyone thinks/assumes that smoking pot makes you a loser - please check out the list below of people (and it's a short piece of a full list)- successful people - who either used to smoke pot - or currently smoke pot..I think we can all agree that stereotype is incorrect.
