Just returned from a week long stay in Dillsboro which is my old home town. If you only knew how lucky you are to be living in a small town. The Home Coming was an added treat, great way to catch up on old friends, school buddies and now their own families. The atmosphere was relaxed, I actually felt safe walking on the streets after dark. The people are the best! They actually thanked you for visiting their place of business regardless if you make a purchase. Everyone was friendly and spoke even if they didn't know you. I am not sure what I was looking for when I left, but if I could turn back the clock I would have stayed and raised my family right there where I grew up.
