HOWEVER, what prevents them from changing the way a property gets assessed in order to collect more money. I know they have the "market value" method now, but what if that method is changed to increase the amount of money they can collect. I personally don't know why such an amendment is necessary. Seems that a State Statute would have the same effect. Something just doesn't feel right about this. The sneaky state Bastards are probably trying to sneak something else through with it...a hidden agenda...a rider of sorts...who knows...I don't trust a one of them...LOL

No, we need to raise taxes, I found nothing wrong with spending like a drunk sailer doubling and tripling peoples taxes. Besides the other way was fine when me and my rich pals paid the same taxes on our million dollar spreads as a worker with a $60,000 craphole. I'm for the poor and working clas.....wink wink....just ask my pal Jimmy Irsay.

thanks to property tax caps the cities, counties, school corporations, etc., have all had to scurry for operating dollars. granted there is always fat in the system, but don't gut the whole hog to remove a bit of excess. case in point: the randolph county prosecutor's office is losing 2 advocate positions. no money. it was a good service to those who needed it. so 2 people lose jobs; they cut back on spending, causing a slow down in shopping; local vendors cut jobs because no one is buying, and it rolls on and on. the whole US government and Indiana government need to be overhauled. We should look at states that have been successful and take a leaf from their book. I am not Tea Party, I am just sick of the way things are.

I will vote for anything that limits government power to steal. I don't ask for most of the services they steal my money for so why should I be obligated to pay for them? Government's job is to protect our rights, not take our money. While government may need some money to operate, they don't need to take $5000 a year from high end home owners to finance service to people who get foodstamps and refuse to work. No one is obligated to pay for anyone else's consumption, but, in the crooked society of the USA, somehow people think thats the way it should be... ...and so it is. The government just keeps growing, even in places where people don't want it to and don't need it to. The government finds a justification for more taxes by helping the poor (an archaic term. New term: lazy). They've removed the shame barrier and now all the freeloaders think that they should get nearly half of my $75K income. Well, I'll tell you what, someday, I'll just quit and they can climb onto someone elses back. I'll just get myself fired and start living on food stamps. I'll transfer all my land and all my money to my kids, apply for welfare and get back some of what was stolen from me. Government is supposed to secure our rights, not steal our money!...of course, by then, the welfare leeches will have bled the system dry and I'll get NOTHING. Damned crooks!

Some of you need to find out the Truth about Welfare. I use to be just like you . Then I did investigate and found out the truth. Most of you have a very wrong view of Welfare. I know a young couple who had it all together, both working loving life. She got pregnant, They both got hit with layoffs. They did not get any assistance, they did not qualify for Food stamps or Medicade. 8 months pregnant she went to work for Mc Donalds and he started doing daily work. It didn't pay the bills but they were trying. Before you start blaming every thing on Welfare get some facts. The Nations Problems are not all caused because we feed a few hungry kids. Or help pay for medicine for the Elderly

Through the exaggeration of Betty (few people on welfare), welfare has been elevated to an entitlement. Welfare was designed to help people that needed it, until they could get back on their feet. The welfare recipients are a 3rd generation raping of the taxpayers. When you say just a few, that is a way of trying to minimize a real problem. Do you know why there are signs at the national parks stating do not feed the wildlife. The wildlife will depend on the handouts and lose their instinctive behavior to find food and survive. The same is true in the 3rd generation welfare recipients; they have no incentive to become a contributing citizen. Like the wildlife at the parks, they feel, they are entitled and resort to violent behavior to get their "entitlements". Through these little exaggerations, a whole new industry has formed and diluted the human gene pool. Betty, you are an enabler, to the detriment of society, by your white lie, you are hurting these people by not letting them reach their full potential. 49% of the nation is supported by 51%, thanks to these white lies.
