The key thing missed in this article is that the STATE parks are profitable bringing in $2.35 for every $1.00 spent. The park system started in the mid 1850;s - economies come and go. These are beautiful and magnificient and shoudl be kept. Pt. Lobos, Big Sur, Santa Cruz state beaches, redwoods, Bodie, Mono Lake, and more.....

Its time to simply say " We mad a mistake - The California state parks will stay."
