Paddeling never kept me out of jail......I grew up detesting teachers and principles who wanted to paddle me over fivilous bullshit....I have problems with athority now and dare any man or woman to touch me.....paddeling is a demeaning and demoralizing act that belongs in the past. It is no way to get through to a child. This goes out to all those uneducated rednecks who want to hit their kids, even the educated ones, with the college degree....The first class you took was psycology, and child psycology....There are other ways to disciplin children than hitting them, even educational ones. and i feel so sorry for those teachers and principals when they can no longer hit a student. They not know how to take car of a disipline problem. Groveton is such a sad place.
Yeah and those methods are working sooo well! Talk to a teacher. School is a he-ll for most of them. Many kids have no respect and no desire to learn. Most change careers early on, the rest just bide their time til retirement. There's always been a class of snotty kids who didn't think they should be punished. I never saw a kid get his butt busted in school or on the bus that didn't deserve it. No reason to ban it 'cause one or two were punished wrongly. Deal with each case. If it was demeaning, that's because it was supposed to be. That way if you actually had a brain to think with, you'd let the fear of embarrassment hold your behavior in check next time. Use YOUR brain. Ask a simple question: are things getting better with this laissez–faire method of maintaining discipline? Not bloody likely.
