In the 1970's there was located near Lake Milton, a nursing home. I am searching for information concerning this nursing home. I have located info which has me to believe that my uncle died at this home, and had lived there for a long time as a middle-aged man; until his death.(according to his death cert.) Could anyone tell me how to go about locating his records? I have hit a dead end in all of my attempts so far.
Thank You.

Regina,
Yes, there was a nursing home at Lake Milton,Ohio that was on I believe Jersey St. Another place that I believe is called a group home is at the on Beach Lane Drive.
My Aunt had a good friend who worked at the "nursing home" I think that was during the '70's. Who owned it, what happened to the property, and so forth I do not know.

On Craig Drive there is a building that in recent years has housed a "Retirement Home" but it really was a halfway house of some sort, I think the residents were mentally ill. It has since closed and they are in the process of selling everything inside. There was also a nursing home on Jersey Street, but I have lived here 15 years and it was torn down sometime prior to that. I believe it was open at least thru the late 70's to early 80's because some of the social workers I work with remembered placing patients there, and I also know somebody who used to work there. There is a pic of that old building posted at Westfall's Restaurant on Rt 18 in Lake Milton.

The Nursing home on Jersey Street burned sometime around the 1980's they property is overgrown with wild bushes and trees. you really can't tell that anything was ever there.

John sounds like you have some good memories of Craig Beach. I remember you as well as the others you memtioned. I lived on Grandview Rd as well. I wonder what happened to all those pictures that Donnie used to paint. I thought they were pretty good back then. Jackson-Milton had a fairly nice all class reunion this year to dedicate the new high school. Saw quite a few familiar faces. Do you remember me?
