police harrassment

What i dont understand is how and why the northfield township police department can get away with harrassing teenagers/young adults? It's a constant happening for people I know.

I hope others will post because I know there are many. Something needs to be done about it. I think these cops need to realize they work for us. There's one in particular that needs to be stopped. When the next police millage comes up I hope everyone votes no. I have had so much vandalism at my house since moving to Whitmore Lake, all the police care about is harrassing teenagers.

Northfield Twp police are useless! Vote NO on the next millage for sure.

do you not relize that its the kids doing the vandilizing, you guys are just rediculus think about what you write and read it to yourself and the tell yourself what a jackass you sound like

my kids cant walk to the store in pinckney with out being stoped. but the drunks from the bar walk thru the naborhood and have know problem. pinckney police suck.

Where do I begin... First, you start a sentence with a capital letter, without is one word, stopped has two p's in it, through has more than four letters, neighborhood is spelled like this not how it sounds, no problem not know. Maybe you should concentrate on education for your kids instead of bad mouthing the police for doing their job huh???

To all against the Northfield Township police department, I could not agree with you more. You have my fullest respect and support. As a youth who has experienced the wrath of these crooked power trippers, I know fist hand what you are complaining about. I have witnessed cops put guns to the back of kids heads and search them for drugs only to find nothing on more than one occasion. I have been on the side of the road riding my bike on numerous occasions and have been pulled over countless times. Each time I was just minding my own business, bothering no one, and staying out of trouble. In the process of being pulled over numerous times, I have been illegaly searched, given a breathalyzer at the wee age of 12, and harrassed endlessly. Do not move here. YOU WILL REGRET IT! Whitmore's populus consists of racist redneck a-holes, and crooked cops. I have lived here 9 years, and I am at my wits end. My insanity is brewing. The cops are on my neighborhood like flys on poop. I am paranoid to leave the house and usually just stay inside because being harrassed by those nazis is inevitable. It is truly hell on Earth. VOTE NO ON THE NEXT POLICE MILLAGE PLEASE!!!

To all reading harassed citizen's comments. I'll bet that he forgot to mention that he has no idea what constitutes a legal or illegal search, nor does he mention that he probably smelled like alcohol and maybe even was drinking. Wee age of "12" - please! Kids start drinking earlier than that. I would also venture a guess that the reason you may have been stopped in the first place is because you were not just minding your own business, probably already had run-ins with the law, more than likely it was 2:00am , and these "harassing" cops were checking you out to see what your doing. Think about it, if the police didn't stop and check out people like that, at that time of night, in a particular neighborhood, it would be free range and I'm guessing the true, law abiding citizens want them to do their job. I would guess as well that you get upset over the security at the airport too huh? Again, more people doing their jobs trying to protect your sorry ass. Me, as a citizen, wouldn't mind if I got stopped, or checked on, or asked what I was doing at a particular time or place. If this helps make it a little safer, I'm more than happy to assist. Now finally, in regards to everyone wanting to vote no on the millage. First, that wouldn't mean no more police, just different faces, all trained to do the same thing, so I guess I'm confused on what purpose that would serve.

and...how do you become a cop...flunk out of school? That's the easiest way...actually flunk out of school and have zero friends and be a complete zero...then, you are a cop...We have issues here in Richmond and it is being taken care of....

Hey officer Citizen, why do you hide behind the facade of being nothing more than a law abiding citizen when it's clear that you are a police officer? I find it humorous that you don't think that Northfield Township police abuse their power, yet you are ashamed to highlight the fact that you are a Northfield Township officer. A sign of guilt? I think so...

South Lyon police are the worst. If you're on the road between midnight and 3am, you bet your ass they are gonna pull you over. Coming from a bar, they'll follow you for a few, then pull you over, preferably in aonther bars parking lot. Work at a bar, and you get out at 3am? Good luck with that. The South Lyon cops are mostly assholes, one especially getting drunk at the South Lyon Hotel. Most of them grew up in South Lyon, that's the problem right there. Terrible.

All you have to do is call the FBI in detroit and tell them the stuff that goes on and they will send someone out . The cops hate when that happens.They will come out .Inkster police was a big time problem and Guess what they now have wayne co looking over them . Keep calling and they will come but you have to call first
